Chapter Four By nine a.m. the following Friday morning, an excited Sophie was loading up everything that would fit in her little four-door sedan. She had listed her furniture and the other bulky items that she couldn’t take with her for sale through a popular website on Wednesday morning, and a young couple had just picked up the last piece left – her bed. While she was sad to part with most of the possessions she had managed to collect, Sophie knew it was necessary. The whopping seven dollars in her bank account made that clear, as did her pride. Remiel had offered her an advance to cover any moving expenses, but she’d politely declined. Not bad!
