Madeline paced back and forth in the children’s chamber. Her agitation had intensified. She needed to tell Ciaran about her psychic episode. It might not be just a psychic episode but a precognition. She needed to know if he was okay. She needed to talk to Ciaran. He could make a lot more sense out of her psychic vision than she could.
But she couldn’t engage his wrist unit. He had said so. If she did, the communication would reveal her current location and make her and the children vulnerable to attack.
In Eudaiz, at Tower Seven, Tadgh stared at the computer monitor and the flashing question for the ennead code. He looked at Ciaran pacing around and around the glass chamber like a lion. He knew his big brother would storm in here and pick at this puzzle himself if he could.
