Chapter 20
At the far end of the corridor, Madeline, Sizx, Liam, and Gaia approached. Madeline could see Ciaran and Ralph running toward them with flying robots at their heels. Madeline pushed the group behind a wall.
Ralph was hit and fell to the ground. Ciaran rolled around the corner. The robots chased him.
Madeline signaled the group to keep quiet. As Ciaran ran by, she jumped out and pulled him into the hiding place.
She stuck her head out to try to calculate the robots’ approaching speed. They seemed to have lost Ciaran when he turned the corner. They were scanning the ground and approaching slowly.
“I told you to stay in the meeting room!” Ciaran snarled.
Madeline shrugged. “But I missed you.”
