Chapter 27
Madeline strode alongside Ciaran, following the long grand hallway which connected to the reception room of Sciphil Three residence. She wished the hallway was longer, but unfortunately, the walk had come to an end. They had arrived at the reception room, finding Jennifer, Ciaran’s mother, waiting.
Madeline tried her best not to squirm.
Jennifer was formidable and literally glowed with energy, power, and graciousness. Her striking blue eyes with their unusual almond shapes made her perfectly oval face seem sharper. Those eyes could slice Madeline in half just with a quick glance. Although she was sure Jennifer never intended to intimidate her, her stomach still always did a somersault in front of her mother-in-law.
