In District Six, Sizx pressed her palm to the security panel of her small apartment. The green light flashed, and she pushed the door in. Her place was small but comfortable in a common zone in the civilian area of District Six.
As the head of intelligence of Eudaiz, she was entitled to a larger and more secure residence in an exclusive zone. Everyone was equal in Eudaiz. It wasn’t a privilege that the council granted her. It was for her own safety.
Her high position in the government made her a possible target for adversaries. Innocent civilians in Eudaiz could live in the peaceful environment, well-protected by the council of Sciphils. But the higher the person’s position on the government ladder, the less naive he could be.
