Making Her Smile

part 2

After one week

Anaika went to Aryan's apartment as he was not picking up her calls from yesterday.

Anaika's pov

Aryan and I both live in the same building as Aryan is so much concerned about my safety.

First, he offered me his apartment as it was of no use to him. I denied because I didn't want to

depend on him ....already he has done so much for me. But he became stubborn about

that.....then I had to agree to him but I said I'll pay the rent. Then it was his time to agree with

me.

Right now, I'm working in a company with him.

They gave me an average salary as I live alone so, it’s enough for me. There also Aryan helps

me a lot. I knew Aryan for a year. He is a great friend of mine and a good human being. I'm so

lucky to have a friend like him in my life.

End of her pov

She is pressing the doorbell again and again. Then Aryan comes with an assuming look like he

is already expecting her arrival.

"Aryan, why are you not picking up my calls, not even replying to my massages? Do you have

any idea how worried I was?" She directly busted on him without any hey, hello.....as a friend

she really cared for him and his not picking her calls made her worried.

Seeing that much concern in her eyes for himself Aryan was on cloud nine but somewhere I

know that it’s just care for a friend, nothing else.

"I was busy; you don't have to worry... I'm sorry" he said casually. He didn't want her to be

worried even for him he was really busy that's why he couldn't pick up her calls.

"Fine, but don't do it again" .she said.

"Come, let's have a coffee," he asked her. She got agreed.

He went to the kitchen to prepare coffee and she is roaming in the hall area. His house is so

messed up like a typical boy's room. She thought to clean it up. While arranging some files she

found an envelope. First, she put that envelop in the drawer but something caught her

attention. It was from ISRC. She couldn't control herself and opened it. It was a job proposal for

Aryan. She became so happy for him and went to him.

"Aryan, you got the job offer from ISRC. Wow! It’s great news, right? I'm so happy for you" .she

said in excitement.

But Aryan was doing his work without giving her any reaction, and this behavior of his made her

confused.

"Aryan why are you not saying anything and why didn't you tell me, ".she said confusingly.

"No need of any celebration Anaika, I'm not accepting that proposal" ....he said calmly yet stern.

"What, but why??

I mean it's a good opportunity. You should take it..."she said shockingly.

"It's my choice Anaika. I don't want that simple...." he said very calming like it’s a useless matter.

"Aryan, you are my friend; I won't let you destroy your life. You have to agree on this..." this time

she said in a stern tone.

"Did you agree with me?" he asked.

Then the realization hit her and she got his point why he is denying to go ISRC. He is doing this

for her. As he always wanted her to join ISRC. He got such a great opportunity, but he didn't

want to accept it.

"Oh, now I'm getting all this behavior of yours. Aryan, I already told you everything why I don't

want to do this. Why do you not understand my situation? It is not easy for me. Why are you

spoiling your life because of me..." she said while trying to control her tears.

"I have made a decision, we both would go together or no one...." he said ignoring her tears and

pale face. It's the time when he can make her agree on that. It's his last chance and he can't

ruin it by melting. He is too strong, for her....for her life.

"But, Aryan ...." she tried once again only to cut by him in middle.

"You have to decide Anaika..." he said while praying in his heart and left the place.

Anaika sat on the sofa. She started thinking about that. Questioning herself "Can she do that?".

"Again machines, after that accident.....she was so confused. Then she closed her eyes and

thought about the people who always discouraged her in her past life.......first her father, her

brother, then her love Ranveer.

Thought of Ranveer made her restless. She didn't want to think about that person. Then some

good memories mad her smile....memories of her doing work in the mechanical lab of FITE,

task, competition, study, engineering. ...., once these things were her life but she had to leave.

"Maa, what should I do. How could I let him ruin his life? I wish you would be here to guide

me...”

Suddenly Aryan voice disturbs her

"Wherever she is, she only wants you to be happy....." he said while seeing direct in her eyes.

"Anaika, it's time to move on. Please for your mother, who supported you at each step..." he

said

She thinks about her mother, her mentor Vardhan Sir and Ranawat Sir, who always supported

her. Of course, Aryan is going to ruin his carrier just because of her. She can't let that happen.

So finally she agreed.

"Ok, I'll do that. But I'll only apply and I don't know about results, whatever will be the results but

you have to accept your job" She said

"Don't worry..... I know how much talent you have....." he said and smiled at her while trying to

control his excitement.

"Finally thank you, God."

They both shared a smile with each other.

They are going to start Anaika's new journey in ISRC.

She was hoping that this new start will bring peace and satisfaction in her life but she was

unaware of the fact that her past was waiting for her there, which she doesn't want to face

again.
