CHAPTER 15 My breath was knocked out of me when we entered what felt like a fairytale. Massive golden chandeliers were scattered across the ceiling, each crowned with green leaves and different kinds of colorful flowers. It was as if tiny gardens floated above us and the hall was bathed in the smell of roses and citrus. The wide windows cutting the walls from ceiling to floor were framed by the same arrangements of leaves and flowers. Mechanical golden butterflies fluttered around us. The spotless marble floor twinkled beneath us with the reflection of the colorful flowers. White circular tables with matching chairs, decorated with crystal vases that held tiny beautiful gardens, lined each side of the hall.
