Packing up the memories

564 Words
Lakshita I’m so happy today and feeling like I’m on clouds when I found out that I am getting admission in the college which was on my first priority. St. Wills designing college was my dream for last four years. I studied days and nights for this opportunity. I am getting congratulatory calls and messages from all my family and friends. I am so happy and sad at the same time and the reason behind that sadness are the rules. With admission letter I’ve got a brochure and a rule book of college by mail. And the rule which was bothering me the most was I  have to live in campus hostel. I’ve never lived far from home so it was not an easy task for me to leave home. As the rules says I can only come home for weekend just once in a month, it made me think how much I will miss my home. We are just 4 members living in my home are me, my parents and my grandmother cause my little brother is in boarding school. Only I got the lucky chance to stay home but my luck was expiring soon cause I have to leave for college the day after tomorrow. I didn’t got so much time to pack my things up but however I want to look over and absorb all of my small world. I had a good look of my room …. my dear bed on which I dreamed, my dearest study table where I studied to get my goals, my mirror which showed me growing beauty and my curves, my window which showed sunrises, curtains, wind chimes everything. My room’s walls are decorated with my drawings. I loved drawing them. After embracing all my world I slept leaving the packing for the next day. Next morning I slept for so long  and woke up when my mom called me for breakfast. I got up immediately and rushed to bathroom knowing that everyone should be waiting for me, today, we, the whole family  will have our breakfast together with all my favorite dishes. I freshen up in 15 minutes and got downstairs for breakfast. My mom made my favorite pink pasta and kheer for breakfast. After everyone had their breakfast  dad left for office,  mom started preparation for evening farewell party and I and my grandma got some time together. We talked about old days and she gave me future blessings then I headed upstairs to my room for actually packing up my things. I scanned my room for the last time with all belongings and packed my things up. After that I had lunch with my mom and gradma and had some sleep afterwards. Woke up in evening I had shower and got ready for party. Then I came down to give some helping hand to my mom. Dad was already homeand was helping mom. Soon the guests also came and my farewell party started. I enjoyed every moment of that then said my goodbyes and went to sleep. Next morning I got up by alarm to be on time, got ready, had breakfast and came out with my packed bags where dad was waiting in the car. Dad was driving mom was on passenger seat so I got my place on backseat. After driving one and half hour we entered in a huge and fancy campus of college.
