Jade’s sugary scent lingered heavily in the air, taunting me almost. What had I f*****g done bringing Clea inside to talk? Twenty minutes ago when Clea held her daughter close with her claws near her throat, my only thought had been to remove Kylie from the situation as quickly as possible.
