Chapter 38

1001 Words
It was a beautiful painting, the one that talked about the connection between the death side and the life side. It was something like a Vincent Van Gogh painting, except that it was my own painting that involved the unstable girl under the shadow of her own father as he smiled down at her. My fingers tenderly touched the painting in front of me in a white dress that touched the black floor as my smile widened when I saw dad emerging from the painting to hold out his hand to me. "Lia, darling," my dad whispered with an elated smile as his hand clasped mine, drawing my footsteps forward with a giggle of my own. "Dad, I'm home finally," I cheered as he chuckled with me and invited me along as my eyes went closer to the painting. I turned around to find a handsome dark-suited knight, "I'm sorry I caused you pain, Levy, maybe we can meet us there later," I softly said to the brooding knight. "No, Lia, I won't let you," he opposed as he neared me and I stepped forward, wanting to get into the glowing painting of my awaiting father. "Levy, no-" I screamed when he held me back to life. ⋆ The sounds of the stretcher strolling were heard as my eyes tried to open but to no avail. The smooth calloused hand that held mine were familiar as I attempted to move, but my body refused to be rudely awakened. "Lia, stay awake, princess," I was deliriously raving about the fact that he had to save me from my beauteous dream with my dad. He, with very great nerve, thought he could fix me after what he did. It was too late, I had taken the form of a selfish demon, wanting to be by myself and away from him. My eyes shut off on their own accord and I found myself falling into a very intense slumber. ⋆ I knew that I had a malfunctioning state in my system and my brain couldn't handle the excessive betrayal from all sides of my life. I was shot yet again by another gang member. That was my first possible guess, since nobody hated me except for my mother, who was dead. Light walls hugged the hospital room, which always seemed to be my second home after the ruins of my previous room were taken by other tenants. I had to find a way back to the hospital or medical centers every time and I was sick of it. Maybe it was the aftermath of my rude awakening, or the irritation of my mind and body. Anger coursed through me like a disease, the terrifying feeling of wanting to kill everyone came back worse than the plan I put to kill Mr. Denis, now, I just wanted to kill everyone in my way. The first person had to be Levy. He hesitantly walked forward but stopped midway when I gave him a ferocious glare, warning him not to get near me. Him being Levy Martin, the hot-headed guy, he defied me when he sat next to me, but my fingers wasted no time in clawing his arms off, he clutched both of my hands in his hold with an irritated glare of his own as he came on top of me. "I swear to God, Levy," my eyes met him, intimidating him, "if you don't stay away from me, I will burn you badly," I fumed at him. "I didn't hear, what are you going to do to me?" he pretended to hold his ear out in mockery, but I had another plan as I pulled his face near mine as my cerulean eyes lasered into his amber ones. "I will kill you," I repeated differently, but he neared me while he stared at my lips. The second was cut short when I screamed in his face due to another hallucination that took over as I held my neck and choked out with perplexed eyes while Levy quickly called for the nurse. "You think you can escape from me?" mom slithered as her hands touched my face and her eyes turned red. "You can't escape from me even when I'm dead," she whispered into my ear, "I will haunt you with the words you said to me, I will come after you and rip your organs apart," she slowly said as her hands went around my neck. "You are a worthless girl, and I will have fun in torturing you." she disappeared with her demented eyes as she gave me a little wave. ⋆ "Stay away from me!" I hollered as my hands started scratching my neck, making s***h marks as my eyes closed and opened. The stretcher rolled me into the emergency room as psychologists came inside to see my case. I thrashed when Levy held my hands tightly on my chest. They claimed me once they buckled the steel straps around me, trapping me in my own hallucinations as I shivered like a dying animal and my eyes stared up at the ceiling when the psychologist touched the sides of my head. I came back to my tranquility as my eyes continued to take in the beauty of the clear white ceiling. "You haven't gone to the therapy sessions," Levy noticed out loud when they left me in the emergency room to deal with other patients, "how irresponsible could you be? Do you want to die?" he shouted as Mrs. Christina came in. "Levy, go outside and stop disrupting the girl." she ordered, and Levy just cursed off, storming outside to clear his mind from what he saw. I wondered how he had dealt with my serious, intense hallucinations without it ruining him psychologically in the process. My eyes went to Mrs. Christina as she gave me a mournful smile that I wasn't able to attend the funeral of my father. "I want to know who did this," I demanded with dark eyes.
