There were little clips of moments the person got when they leave their hometown often: memories, laughter in the air, sadness in the roughest of times and adventures. Those were the things that made individuals feel like they lost a part of who they were in the place where they were born, had their first heartbreak or their first childhood love. Coming back to Oregon helped me get that, a part of my identity, back and healthily stable. I breathed in the familiar woodsy scent as my heart ached for the place I called home.
