For any ultimate war, there has to be two sides of hostility: the warriors who were out for the necks and the big bad force mixed with an initiative to make a difference as a result of the war they had created. If the leader of the warriors decided to reclaim a part of their territory from their enemies, then the war had to break out eventually.
In this case, Mrs. Christina was the leader that wanted to reclaim her territory. Mr. Clay, fighting against the enemy, Elizabeth Maxwell, unfortunately, my mom. Mrs. Christina was so strong that with her huge hand, she could slap both Mr. Clay and my mom in one go.
I internally cheered for Mrs. Christina as people screamed at the act of violence when she gave my mom a big slap, not on the face, but on her neck that made her head bash into the empty porcelain plate. I cringed as blood started to seep out my mother's nose and I looked up to see Levy's mischievous smirk of pride towards his mom, thinking what I was thinking.
They both deserved it, go Mrs. Christina! I cheered more as Mr. Clay suddenly stood up, wanting to escape from his furious wife, but she didn't forget him as she grabbed his jacket forcefully and brought him back to his seat in one pull with laser-like beams in her bright irises that were directed down at him. I felt sorry for Levy's dad as his wife twisted his wrist in one move and he winced in pain.
We had to take action when the security came to calm his mad mom out. Levy went up to him and assured him that nothing was happening, that he would take them all outside the hotel. With a stoic face, the security warned us that if we didn't end this fight, they would call the police.
I carefully tried to pull my mom out of the fight but ended up on the floor when her back bashed my chest harshly. My breasts throbbed in pain but I had to stop her from fighting back. As much as I loved Mrs. Christina, I couldn't help but think that she was insane when someone pushed her buttons. Levy helped me up and held his mom's arms in his tight hold with an annoyed face.
"Mom, you have to stop or they will kick us out," he said and she froze with dishevelled hair along with her red hands that had my mom's cheeks imprinted on them.
"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at school right now?" she lasered on her son, temporarily forgetting the forbidden couple behind her, and Levy flinched at his mom's strict face.
"Mom, I-uh-I had to come for the sake of my dad, some gang lied to me and they said that they kidnapped my dad," he nervously made an excuse as his eyes flickered from her to the wall behind her. I couldn't blame him, his mom was the scariest, not even his dad could calm down the raging woman.
Pathetically, mom wanted to surprise-attack her, but Mr. Clay didn't want another humiliation from his wife as he took her arms and brought her back into place. I shot her a gleeful smirk and she scowled at me.
"You're coming back with me on the next flight tomorrow morning," his mom said, "and don't you dare utter a word now," her eyes flashed the danger sign at Levy, who was more annoyed that I had to watch his mom decide for him.
"And you, I am not done with you," she pointed both at Mr. Clay and my mom, "I am getting a divorce from you and Mr. David Maxwell won't be happy to know his cheating-ass-broken workaholic of a wife has betrayed him, but don't worry, I will do the honours of comforting him," She taunted them with a successful smile and a savage once-over look at mom in disgust at her revealing outfit.
I gulped as her eyes turned to face me. "I was expecting so much coming from you, baby girl," She said as she shook her head in disappointment. I felt like I was eight years old again, scolded for smashing a cake or something, but I knew that Mrs. Christina has a big heart for me and Levy.
However, I was not so sure she had a big heart for mom, her used-to-be friend and her husband, which caused her heartbreak. His eyes met his wife's eyes sorrowfully but she looked away. I knew that she was hurting under all the strong facade she was putting on. She loved Mr. Clay since she was in high school and spent all her journeys with him, kind of like my story with Levy except that Levy didn't allow me to join any of his journeys.
Levy hugged his mom and she hugged him back. I smiled at their display of affection between him and his mom. Levy had so much respect for his tough mom, they could never stay mad at each other. After their affection, it was my turn.
"Mrs. Christina, you were a badass fighter, I loved it," I winked at her as her face broke into a chuckle and I hugged her, she hugged me back and kissed my forehead.
"Don't think that your punishment will go away when you hug me," she gave us a Levy-like smirk and we grimaced, Mrs. Christina's punishments were the worst. She made us do the laundry for months.
"I'm taking these kids home while you both think of the consequences of your actions," She decided for both of them, but mom just had to rebel. I could tell she was itching for a fight as she held a tissue filled with blood.
"You can't take my daughter, you're not her mom, I am," She exclaimed with the same glare she gave me.
"Oh, please, since when?" Mrs. Christina said as she rolled her eyes, "she has been my daughter since she was a baby when you were struggling with your business that was managed by your poor skills."
"Mom," Levy interrupted as his mother turned to face him, "I can't leave, I have unfinished business."
