[Irene Miles’ POV] After going through so much without the account of time, we finally were just a few steps away from the peak. Instead of happiness and victory, my heart was going through feelings I couldn’t explain in words. It was as if I was holding onto every second that I could stay by his side for a little longer. Just a second longer if I could. Things between us looked vivid, but my vision of us wasn’t clear. Rather, as the fog became denser, it became more difficult to keep him in my sight.
