He looked at Irene, unconscious in my arms, and the robe draped around her. He clenched his fists and jaws and then glared at me. I could hear the gritting of his teeth, but I couldn’t wait any longer, so I walked by him.
“Ire! Zane! Wait! Alpha, what is going on here?” I heard Ryu’s voice, but that was it. Alpha Theo didn’t say a word, but I knew the price I would pay later. For Irene, I would pay any price.
I made sure she was isolated from everyone, even her pack, while the doctor checked her. I stayed in the room with her. She stabilised.
