"Ahren, don't you like her?," my mom asked

She's talking about the girl who she introduced to me, I don't like her. She's nice but I just don't like her.

"You still want to find your tita Xienna's daughter?,"

What's with that sudden question? "Yes, mom,"

I heard her sighed with my answer. "Don't you really like Alexis-

"How many times do I have to repeat myself, mom? She's nice but I don't like her," it's already annoying me

"Okay, fine, just be kind to her. She's going to visit you today-

"What?! Mom, I told you that I don't want to see her," I gritted my teeth

"Just be kind to her today and I will tell her to stop visiting you,"

I mentally rolled my eyes when she left. Ang pinaka ayaw ko sa lahat ay 'yung pinipilit akong gustuhin 'yung taong hindi ko naman gusto. Hinahanap ko pa si Xia. Nangako ako sa kaniya na 'pag laki namin ay magpapakasal kami.

"Hi, Zaire!,"

For goodness sake! Why is she here?!

"I brought-

I stand up and looked at her intently. "Alexis, I don't want to be rude but I need to tell you this. Thank you for being patient with me and for liking me but please know that I can only offer you a friendship and I can only see you as a friend of mine. You already know that I'm looking for someone ever since our parents introduced us with each other," I told her firmly and left her

I may sound rude but that's the truth. Ayaw kong dumating sa punto na kapag nahanap ko si Xia ay makikita niyang ganoon, ayaw kong masaktan siya.

"Anak, magbihis ka na. May pupuntahan tayo," sabi ng mommy ko

Agad na kumunot ang noo ko dahil duon, ngayon lang siya nag-aya ulit. Kahit nagtataka, nagbihis pa rin ako dahil ayaw kong magalit si mommy sa akin. "Mom, where are we going?,"

"You'll see later, my love," she smiled at me

We're already inside the car with my dad. I don't even know where we were going. Buong biyahe ay nakatingin lamang ako sa labas ng bintana ng sasakyan, madami kaming nadadaanan na mga puno at ang sumunod naman ay may mga mangroves. I rolled down the window and the cold wind caresses my cheek.

"Be careful on what you're doing, Ahren," I heard my dad

"Yes, dad, it's just refreshing here unlike in Manila. Polluted air while here is not," Well, in some cases, that's true. Manila has polluted air.

We took about two hours before we arrived at a house. It's big and it also has fountain, you can also see the garden that's full of different flowers. I can stay here to study about the flowers, especially that my mom really loves flowers. She loves tulips and gardenia.

We are already inside the house and it's really nice, they have a huge living area. I sat on the couch and there I saw a man and a woman who's holding hands, I mentally rolled my eyes with that. And there's also a kid behind them, maybe it's their child.

"Xienna! I'm glad that you came," the woman approached my mother

"Of course! You are my best friend and besides I don't wanna miss your birthday," my mother said

So, this is a birthday but... we are the only visitor of the celebrant.

"Oh, is this Xiana already?," My mom asked the woman. "She's already big na, what a beautiful kid,"

I glance at the girl she is... beautiful. She's wearing a casual dress and her hair is not tied up that's why I can really see how healthy her hair is.

"Anak, come here," my mom called me so I stood up and went to her. "Ahren this is Xiana, your tita Xienna's daughter," my mom introduce me to that girl

Xiana's mother also called her. "Xiana this is Ahren, your tita Averie's son," she smiled. "Please look after him or tour him around in our house,"

And they left us alone in the living area. We were so quiet not until she made the first move to talk.

"H-hi, I'm Xiana, do you want to play? We have board games, video games and mind games," she looks nervous

"Ahren. I just want to look around," I said

"O-oh o-okay! Where do you want to go first?,"

"I want to look around your garden area,"

(Third Person's View)

Tahimik na pinagmamasdan ng batang si Ahren garden area ng mga Gonzaga habang ang batang Xiana naman ay naka upo sa damuhan nang biglang magtanong si Ahren. "What flower is this?," Itinuro niya ang kulay lila na bulaklak

"It's a Morning Glory, it's a September birth flower and they are beloved not just by humans but butterflies and hummingbirds too," The young Xiana answered

Little Ahren just nodded and Xiana went back to the grass to sit. Mag-uusap lang silang dalawa kapag may magtatanong o kaya naman ay may magsasabi ng kung ano ano. Konting oras na lang ang natitira bago bumalik ng Manila sila Ahren at hindi pa rin sila gaano nag-uusap ni Xiana.

Ahren was busy looking at the flowers around the garden when Xiana went back inside to get some cookies and juice. Ahren was about to ask Xiana something when there's no figure of Xiana around the garden and Ahren just scratched his head. "Maybe she was upset," Ahren whispered. Ahren walk around until he gets bored and sat on the grass. He is playing the grasses and the stones scattered around it.

He's looking around when he saw Xiana holding a tray with cookies and juice. "Are you hungry? Here, I got some snack," little Xiana said and sit beside Ahren.

"Are you upset?," Ahren asked and get a cookie

"Upset with what?,"

"With me? Because I'm not talking to you,"

Xiana chuckled that made Ahren confused. "Why would I be upset? This is the first time that we meet each other. Hindi naman agad tayo magkakasundo and besides I'm used to it. wala naman akong masyadong nakakausap dito kaya nasanay na lang din ako,"

"Don't you have a sibling?,"

"I don't, I'm an only child. How about you?,"

"I'm an only child too, but I have a friend in Manila,"

Xiana's eyes widened. Humarap siya kay Ahren kaya nagulat ito dahil sa sobrang lapit ni Xiana sa kaniya. "Are you from Manila?,"

Umiwas ng tingin ang batang Ahren bago sinagot ang tanong ni Xiana. "Y-yes, I'm from Manila,"

"I want to go there! Madami na akong naririnig tungkol duon and they said that it's nice there. My friend spends her vacation there," Xiana smiled widely that made Ahren smiled too.

"Really? You want to come with us?,"

Nabitawan ni Xiana ang hawak niyang cookie dahil sa tanong ni Ahren at tumili pa ito. "Talaga?! Can I? If my parents will allow me,"

"Of course! Just make sure that your parents allowed you,"

Dahil sa sinabi ni Ahren ay tumayo agad si Xiana at tumakbo papunta sa loob ng bahay at hinanap ang mga magulang niya habang si Ahren ay nakasunod lang sa kaniya. "Mommy! Daddy!," sigaw ni Xiana

"Yes, anak? Is there something wrong?," tanong ng mommy ni Xiana

"Mommy! Can I go with them?," tanong ni Xiana at itinuro sila Averie

Agad na nanlaki ang mga mata ni Averie nang ituro siya ni Xiana. "With us? Where, anak?," tanong ni Averie

"In Manila po!,"

Naibuga naman ni Ignacio ang iniinom niyang juice kaya napatili si Xienna. Napag-usapan na nilang lahat kanina na pupunta sila ng Manila para naman maranasan ni Xiana kung ano ang buhay sa lungsod. "About that, anak, we will go there!," Xienna cheerfully said that made Xiana screamed.

"Yayyy! Thank you, mommy, daddy!,"

Sa ilang araw ng pamilya Gonzaga sa Manila ay wala silang ginawa kundi ipasyal ang prinsesa nila. Ngayon lang nila nakita si Xiana na ganoon kasaya kaya hindi na nila ito ipinagkait.

Sa tuwing bakasyon ni Xiana ay sa Manila na sila nagbabakasyon kasama ang pamilya Lucero hanggang sa napag desisyunan na ng pamilya Gonzaga na bumalik na sa Batangas dahil sa negosyo nila. Malungkot si Xiana dahil malalayo siya sa kaibigan niyang si Ahren pero nangako ito na pupuntahan niya si Xiana sa Batangas.

"You'll visit me? Promise?," tanong ni Xiana kay Ahren

"Promise!," nakangiting sabi ni Ahren kay Xiana at niyakap ito

Pabalik na ulit ang pamilya Gonzaga sa Batangas ngunit sa hindi nila inaasahang pangyayari ay bigla na lamang silang nadisgrasya. Nawalan ng preno ang kanilang sasakyan at bumangga ito sa puno malapit sa bangin. Si Xiana ang nasa malalang kundisyon dahil ang ulo niya ang napuruhan.

Ilang taon na ang lumipas matapos ang insidenteng 'yon at walang maalala si Xiana.

"Ayaw mo pala silang nakikitang nasasaktan pero sinaktan mo sila pareho, kung wala ka sanang pinili sa kanilang dalawa noon ay kaunting sakit lang sana ang mararamdaman nila pareho. And now Jaime broke up with you because of Xiana,"

Natahimik siya dahil sa sinabi ko. I laughed mentally because of it. "Don't worry, I'll take good care of Xiana. And I hope that when we see each other again, you and Jaime will be in good terms already," After what I said, I left him.

He even have the guts to ask me to take care of Xiana, kahit pa hindi niya hilingin 'yon ay gagawin ko. I have love Xiana already when we were kids.

"Sinong hindi kakabahan, Mason? Today is my wedding day,"

"Exactly! It's your wedding day and you should be happy not nervouse dahil hindi ka naman tatakbuhan ni Xiana,"

Ilang taon din niyang hinintay ang pagkakataon na makasama niyang muli si Delancy. And I know that fate will allow them now.

"People! we will start na po so please fall in line now for the entourage," she announced

And all of our guests falls in line for the entourage, may iba lang na hindi kasali dahil mas pinili nilang maupo na. It is a garden wedding so it is expected that it's a little bit windy because it is held in Xiana's farm. Even the reception will be held here.

I can already see my beautiful bride from here. "She looks beautiful, Ahren," Mason whispered

"Who? My bride or yours?," I chuckled

"Both of them, of course," he also chuckled

She really is beautiful. I want to thank Him for giving me such a beautiful and kind woman that I will spend the rest of my life with. Through our ups and down. And now, she's in my arms now. the priest said a lot of life lessons to us and it's my time to deliver my wedding vow. I took a deep breath before I spoke that made everyone laugh.

My parents told me that I am about to get married and I was so mad dahil hindi ko nga kilala kung sino ang ipapakasal sa akin. "Good evening, dearest family of the couple, friends and guests! We will now start the program here at Ferme Sanctuaire, which is the reception of the wedding. As we gathered to this very special moment of the married couple, may I ask the couple to dance,"

Xiana doesn't want to dance but our guests are cheering for us so she stand up and pulled me to the center. "A round of applause, please!," Miss Thia said and we heard a loud claps.

We started dancing as a married couple and the music is It Might Be You piano version. This is the best feeling ever, being married to the woman who you really love. To the woman you want to spend with the rest of your life. We finished dancing and we went back to the couch.

"What a beautiful dance! And now, may I ask the close friend of Mrs. Gonzaga to come in front and give a message,"

I saw Delancy stand up and started walking towards Miss Thia. "Uh, hello everyone, I am Delancy Sarmiento, Mr. and Mrs. Gonzaga's friend. Hi Xiana! "Isa na duon ay 'yung engaged ka na, malamang sa malamang na hindi mo naalala 'yun nung una dahil nawala talaga ang iba mong alaala. Matagal na kayong engaged ni Ahren, bata pa lang tayo ay engaged na kayo. Alam kong saka mo lang naalala 'yun noong umamin si Ahren gamit ang letter na galing sa bouquet dahil natatakot siya noong panahon na 'yon dahil galit ka daw sa kaniya," natatawang sabi ni Delancy. Hinampas naman ako ng asawa ko dahil duon. "Ang dami kong gustong sabihin pero 'yung mga importante na lang ang sasabihin ko. I can still remember how you cried because of the other people's judgement to you, just because you are friends with other guys they would tell others that you're a slut or what so ever but you are very strong that you cope up with it. And I am very proud of you. I love you best friend!,"

Delancy look at me and I feel nervous. Baka bigla niya akong pagalitan. "And my message for Ahren is... thank you for not breaking your promise when we were kids, your promise to marry Xiana when we all grow up. Thank you for being patient with her, for being there through her ups and downs. Alam kong hindi rin naging madali ang pinagdaanan mo dahil ilang taon mo ding hinanap si Xiana pero thank you dahil hindi ka napagod o sumuko na hanapin siya. Salamat din dahil kahit na may pagkakataon na nag-aaway kayo ay hindi mo siya iniiwan. I only want the best for my best friend and you gave the very best of you to her. I'm glad that she accepted me to be with her best friend. "Aww! That was sweet, sana ganiyan din ang mga kaibigan ko. And now, it's Mr. Rodriguez's turn,"

Natawa ako nang makita ko si Mason na parang natatae dahil sa kaba. "Why are you laughing? Tinatawanan mo ang kaibigan mo!," naka ngusong sabi ng asawa ko at hinampas pa ako kaya napadaing ako.

"I don't know why I'm being nervous right now but here's my message to the both of you," Mason said nervously that I laughed loud. "Bro, stop laughing! Anyways, Xiana, thank you for giving my friend a chance lalo na't ang sabi mo noon ay hindi naman kayo. Thank you dahil nahintay mo siya kahit pa hindi mo siya naalala nung una kayong nagkita. Makakahinga na din ako ng maluwag ngayon dahil ikaw ang napangasawa niyan, noong nalaman kong engaged na siya ay muntik ko pang nasuntok 'yan dahil akala ko ay sa iba siya engaged, 'yun pala ay sayo dahil matagal nang agreement na kayo ang magpapakasal pagtanda natin dahil 'yon ang pangako niyo sa isa't-isa. And I am happy that you really did marry each other. Congratulations, love birds!,"

Hindi ko alam kung bakit ako naiiyak sa message ng gagong 'yon. "You really treasure our friend, naiiyak ka sa message niya," Xiana whispered.

"Hello, good evening! My husband don't want to deliver a message dahil maiiyak lang daw siya kaya ako na lang," My mom laughed and dad glared at him.(Mom- Xiana's mom, Dad- Xiana's dad)

"To my daughter, I want to tell you that what ever happens you're still our baby, I know that you've been through a lot but we are very proud of you just like what Delancy said a while ago. You don't know how much mommy and daddy loves you, 'nak. Thank you for being such a good daughter to us, you never gave us headache. 'Yung mga sinabi ko sayo, lagi mong tatandaan, okay? I love you," It was a short message but it touched my heart. Nasabi na din siguro lahat ni mommy kay Xiana ang lahat ng gusto niyang sabihin. "And to the new member of our family, Ahren, thank you so much for loving our daughter. Wala na din akong masasabi dahil nasabi na ng daddy mo ang lahat ng gusto kong sabihin, kung bakit ba kasi inunahan niya ako. Nevertheless, thank you so much and please take good care of your wife,"

I stand up and gave our mom a hug and also dad. It was my parents turn to deliver a message to us but they said that they already sent it to my eMail. "What a nice message from the parents of Mrs. Lucero! Sunod na sana ang parents ni Mr. Lucero but they already sent it to your eMail," Miss Thia announced. "Again, congratulations to the newly weds, Mr. and Mrs. Gonzaga!,"

Third Person's View

All of the people in the reception are having fun... not until Ahren saw Austin watching them from afar. Then Ahren told Xiana about it, Xiana looked at Austin. Austin smiled at her but you can literally see the sadness in his eyes.

"I think you need to talk to him," Ahren whispered. Xiana look shocked with what he said. "It's okay, come on, talk to him,"

"Okay, if that's what you want," Xiana said and kissed Ahren's cheek before walking towards Austin.

Bigla namang nataranta si Austin nang mapansin niyang papalapit sa kaniya si Xiana. Akmang aalis na siya nang tawagin siya ni Xiana kaya napatigil siya. "Austin!,"

Kinakabahang hinarap ni Austin si Xiana na ngayon ay nakangiti na sa kaniya. "I'm glad that you came, even if you just stayed here," panimula ni Xiana. "How are you? Your relationship with Jaime?,"

Bakas sa mukha ni Austin ang gulat dahil sa huling tanong ni Xiana at agad naman itong napansin ng babae. Austin inhaled deeply and exhaled slowly before talking. "You're welcome and congratulations! I'm good... we already broke up, Xiana,"

Xiana suddenly felt pity for her friend and Austin noticed it. "I'm sorry, I-

"No, it's not your fault. Wala kang kasalanan-

"Kahit ako naman talaga ang dahilan kung bakit siya nakipaghiwalay sa'yo? Hindi ka pa rin nagbabago, Austin, ganon ka pa rin. Handa kang pagtakpan ang katotohanan sa akin para lang hindi ako masaktan, matagal ko ng alam na hiwalay na kayo at ako ang dahilan. I'm sorry for that, kung hindi lang siguro tayo nagkita ulit noon ay baka hindi nangyari iyon," mahabang sabi ni Xiana

"Ako dapat ang humihingi ng tawad, Xiana, I hurt you. You liked me before but I can only offer you a friendship, but the truth is... I'm starting to like you too. Austin smiled back at her. Nagpaalam na si Xiana na kailangan niya nang bumalik sa asawa niya kaya naman nagpaalam na muli si Austin. Hindi maitago ni Austin ang lungkot sa mga mata niya habang pinapanood si Xiana na maglakad papalayo sa kaniya.

"At least we've met. Take care of yourself, if you didn't notice... I have loved you since then, Xiana,"

End of Third Person's View

After a month of being married we are here in Paris again, where it all started.

"Love, look! Ang ganda ng Eiffel Tower at hindi pa rin kumukupas ang ganda niya," my wife said cheerfully. I smiled because of that.

Dito nagsimula ang lahat at dito din magtatapos.

"Ren-Ren, look! Ang ganda,"

"Oo nga, ang ganda," ani Ahren saka tumingin kay Xiana. Kinuha nito ang camera niya at kinuhanan ng litarato si Xiana.

Isa lang ang nasa isip ng batang si Ahren, kundi ang pakasalan si Xiana pagtanda nila dahil ito na an g gusto niyang makasama habang buhay.

"Xia," tawag ni Ahren kay Xiana pero hindi ito lumilingon

"Xia!," tinawag niya ulit ito at ramdam niya nang lilingon ito kaya naman lumuhod na siya
