Our Last Dance

Chapter 1

At the school, students are everywhere, everyone greeting their friends. The school is just returning from winter break.

Maddie walked into the school gate and looked around to see if her friends were around, she carried her phone and texted her friends but no one seemed to reply.

Maddie is dressed somewhat shabily, she is wearing a pair of glasses, from her dressing, you can tell that she is a nerd. She carried her backpack and walked across the hallway till she heard a voice shouting.

"Maddie!!!!"

Maddie noticed that the voice seems familiar, so she turned back to see who called her and saw her best friend Amelia.

"Amelia!!"

She shouted and ran to hug her friend.

Amelia dressed very similar to Maddie, but she was not putting on a pair of glasses. Amelia is a tall blonde, with a perfect model shaped body. Amelia does not care about anything at all, she only does what pleases her.

"How was your holiday?" Maddie asked

"It was lovely, I read a lot of books this holiday" Amelia replied.

"How about yours?" Amelia asked.

"Mine was also wonderful, I spent my holiday learning new vocational skills and stuff." Maddie answered.

"What about Kelly?, Where is she?," Amelia asked.

"You know Kelly is always going to be late" Maddie replied.

"Hey girls." Kelly came running from the back and quickly rushed to hug the girls.

Kelly is a dark skinned sss queen, she is also tall and has a pretty good female shape.

"How was your holiday?" She asked

"Fine." Maddie and Amelia both replied and laughed, and they all laughed together.

After they finished laughing, they looked up and saw Jessica, Lizzy and Sally walking down the hallway.

These three girls are the hottest in the school, they literally run the school. Jessica is dating Dave, the hottest guy in school, they are the school it couples, always showing off their relationship on i********: and every single social media app that they have on their phone. Jessica and her friends walked pass Maddie, Amelia and Kelly. But they were not annoyed because they were kind of used to it, they were not close with Jessica and her friends.

"Girls!!!!', "Girls!!!!!!" Maddie called her friends, they seemed to be so lost in thought watching jessica enters her class.

"Girls!!!!!" She called one last time and they both answered.

"Yes!!!!!"

"Emergency meeting at mine today." she whispered

"What do we need emergency meeting for ?" Amelia asked.

"You know just for..."

"Omggg!!!!" Kelly cuts in

"What is it?" Maddie asked angrily.

"The man of the hour has arrived." Amelia answered.

Maddie raised up her head and saw Chris walking down the hallway with his friends too, all the girls in the hallway immediately stopped what they were doing and started admiring Dave as he walk down the hallway.

As stated earlier Dave is the hottest guy in the school so literally all the girls in the school admire him.

Dave brushed off his hair a little bit as he continued walking, many girls started screaming.

Maddie never really liked him so she was not even moved the way all the other girls were moved. After he walked down a bit, Jessica ran from where she was and came to kiss Dave. She is basically showing him off to the whole school, so almost all the girls were jealous of Jessica.

"I still don't get why you all like him." Maddie commented.

"You must be blind then." Amelia said.

"Dave is my dream guy." Kelly said with her hands on her chest.

"Keep on dreaming then." Maddie laughed.

"What the heck!!" Kelly shouted.

"Well she didn't lie." Amelia also laughed.

"You too?" Kelly asked.

Amelia raised her hand to show that she does not care.

"Don't forget about the meeting at mine today." Maddie reminded.

"We definitely have a lot to talk about." Amelia responded.

"Yes I will definitely come for this meeting." Kelly also responded.

As they were talking the bell rang, and the speaker across the hall started making a loud noise.

"Urghh not again." Maddie said.

Kelly and Amelia's reaction also changed into a frustrated look.

Anytime the speaker sounds, it means the principal, Principal Penelope is about to make an announcement, and now that they just resumed, the announcement will definitely be that they should all go to the hall for assembly.

"Hello students." Principal Penelope greeted over the speaker.

"Let everyone assemble at the hall, and I mean now. We just started this term, let's not problems shall we?" She said.

Maddie, Kelly and Amelia walked fast to the hall as other students were also making their way hurriedly to the hall.

After they got to the hall and have found a place for them to sit, principal Penelope finally walked in and the school choir started singing a welcome song and the school anthem.

After they had sang their songs finished, principal Penelope quickly made her way to the standing microphone on the podium.

"Hello students." She said.

Most of the students did not reply, as most of them did not like her. She is very strict and problematic and she doesn't even love anything fun, anywhere she is she makes the place a very serious working place.

"Whether you like it or not, we are all here and I am going to be your principal for a very long time. So you better get used to me." She said with her British accent.

Most students only groaned.

"Anyways, last term was a lot, and I hope you all enjoyed your break ? I hope you had enough time to rest ?" She asked with concern.

"Yes!!!..No!!!." Most students shouted.

"Okay, that's all you can get of me being nice." She quickly said.

"Now let's get back to business, so this term, our senior year students are having their final dance with us." She said.

Most of the students shouted.

"So the occasion if this year is prom night!!" She added.

Everybody cheered, and shouted with joy, the biggest event of this school is prom night, everybody get to dance with their date, dress in their best dress, it's a whole party.

But the most important part for Maddie, Kelly and Amelia with other senior year students is that this is their last dance in the school before they all move to their desired college. It is expected to be very memorable.

"So, I want you all to be prepared and give it your all, I want our school to go on the magazines again." Principal Penelope continued.

"Another highlight of this term is our senior year students trip." She added.

The senior year students cheered again, as they were all happy to hear this, I mean who wouldn't be happy to hear about going on a trip away from school.

"Oh my gosh, we have a lot to prepare for this term." Maddie said.

"We really need to have that meeting at yours with immediate effect." Kelly said.

"For real." Amelia added.

"Thank you all for your unwanted opinion, but the trip will be later this term and we will let you know about that when it it's time." Principal Penelope said.

"And the major part that concerns me, we need to see greater results this term, I need scholars that are going to represent us in the annually schools quiz, Creek Top high school does not come last, we always come on top and we get to build a reputation for our school." She added.

"I hope you are prepared ?" Kelly asked Maddie.

"I mean, I'm always prepared." Maddie said with boldness.

"Purr !" Amelia said.

Everybody in the hall also started side talking about the quiz, most people don't really care about it, while some like Maddie care so much about it.

"Enough with the side talks !!!." Principal Penelope shouted on top of her voice.

The hall got silent after she shouted aggressively on the microphone.

"So... I guess that's all for now." She said as she was about to close the house.

"Make sure you go to class, goodbye." She said and left the podium and went straight to her office.

All the students in the hall stood up and we're on their way to their various classes. Maddie, Kelly and Amelia held their hands tightly, so they won't lose themselves. It's like a tradition for them, after every assembly they do this.
