Our Last Dance

Chapter 3

As Maddie got home, she went straight into her room. Maddie is the only child of her parents, and her parents are very busy, so they don't really have her time that much, so whenever she is bored, she just starts reading any book that she sees, that was what made Maddie a book lover.

Maddie's room is so huge, it's like a princess bedroom, her parents are rich, they are both doctors, so they have a mansion, that's why her room is so big and they have the money to treat her like a princess.

After Maddie lied down on her bed, she took her phone from her bag and unlocked it, and went straight to her best friends group chat. And she started typing.

"Have you all gotten home?" She texted.

"Yes, just got home actually" Amelia replied.

"Yeah I have, hope you all got home safely" Kelly texted.

"Yes, I did, thanks." Maddie replied.

"I also got home safely guys" Amelia texted.

"Girls, go and get ready fo tonight" Maddie texted.

"Ohkk" Amelia texted.

"Let me also get prepared" Kelly texted.

Maddie put her phone off after reading all the messages. She sets her alarm for eight 'o clock for the girls night, and took a little nap.

At Amelia's place, Amelia was on her bed trying to rest a little bit before her mom came inside her room.

"Can you take care of your little siblings, I'm trying to focus on my work but they are kind of distracting me." Her mom, Kate said.

"Arghhh, I'm also kind of busy too" Amelia complained.

"Do I look like I am asking you to take care of them, it is part of your duties and obligations as an elder sister" Kate said angrily.

Kate is a lawyer, so she is very strict with things about rules and regulations, duties and obligated and other things that keep the things in order. Amelia's father is a manager at a very big company in the country.

"Ok, but I want you to know that I am having a sleepover at Maddie's house." Amelia said"

"Whatever, just take care of the kids for me now, we will deal with later when it comes" Kate replied.

Amelia walked to the living room and saw her siblings throwing things up.

Amelia has three younger siblings, a girl and two boys. One of the boys is eleven years old, the girl is nine years old, while the last boy is six years old. It is her duty to take care of them.

"How many times do I have to tell you about throwing things up in the house, don't you know it annoys and frustrates me so much." Amelia complained.

"It is so fun to watch you frustrated." Billy, the first son said.

"Ok, that's it."

Amelia went straight into her room and locked the door, she already knows that if she took care of the place or not, they would still cause a mess to the place, so there is no point of taking care of the place.

While at Kelly's, her mum own a bakery, while her father is a businessman so she took her mum's recipe book and started cooking to perfect her baking skill. So she baked cakes and saved some for the night with the girls.

Kelly has two sisters, they are both in college. She plans on calling them today, those two sisters are her only siblings. She also wants to join them in the college they are.

Kelly was running to her laptop, it was already time for her to call her siblings.

As Kelly got to her bed where the laptop was, she noticed that they were already calling her. She hurriedly picked the call, and shouted on top of her voice

"Sam, Naomi!!!" Those were the names of her sisters.

"How are you " they greeted.

"How is mom?" They continued to ask.

"I'm fine and mom is also fine" she replied.

After they discussed for minutes, Sam and Lilly started talking about their personal lives and their boyfriends.

"My boyfriend is a one in a million, he to take me to a romantic place next week." Sam boasted.

"Mine promised to get me an expensive gift on tomorrow, I cant wait anymore" Lilly said.

"Hope you already have a date for this year's prom night?Lilly asked.

"She had better." Sam said furiously.

Kelly knows that if she says she does not have a date for the prom night,her sisters her going to make jest of her forever.

"I have a boyfriend already." She lied.

"Good for you." Lilly said.

"I remember my last dance at Creek Top high, it was so romantic, with my boyfriend. He came to pick me in a limousine." Lilly narrated.

"Are you really sure it was a limousine ?" Sam asked.

"What in the world are you insinuating here ?" Lilly said.

"I'm only saying, I don't think it was a limousine, I think you paid for a cab to come and get you." Sam aid.

"Uhm, it was definitely a limousine, stop trying to ruin my story." Lilly said.

"Okay, continue." Sam said.

Kelly laughed.

"So, we had like the most romantic night ever and we were crowned best couple of the year."

"I would have won that by the way." Sam said.

"Seriously?" Kelly said.

"Ok, what I'm trying to say is that you should enjoy your life on that day and make sure you are happy that's all." Lilly said.

"Yeah and we wish you happiness." Sam said.

"Thanks, I love y'all." Kelly said and raised her hand like the shape of a heart.

"Love you too." Sam said.

"Bye." Lilly said.

"Bye." Kelly said.

"I know you wouldn't disappoint me." Sam said.

"Bye!!" They all greeted as they wanted to disconnect the call.

After Kelly was done with the call, she went into her room to sleep a little bit before going for her girls night.

When it was already eight o' clock, Maddie was already expecting the girls. She kept looking at the watch on her hand and she also started at the clock that is on the wall.

After five more minutes, the door bell rang and Maddie ran all the way to the door to church who that was and when she got to the door she saw Kelly and she jumped up out of excited and hug her Kelly.

"Hey, how are you doing." Kelly greeted.

"I'm Good, what about you" Maddie also responded.

"I'm Great thanks." Kelly replied.

After one minute Amelia knocked on the door, and Maddie opened the door and the three girls hug.

"So is your mom at home ?" Amelia asked

"No, she isn't, she is going to be back by ten" Maddie replied

"Oh I see." Amelia said.

After they got to Maddie's room, Maddie directs her hand to them, telling them to sit, after they sat, she brought a board and a marker from the corner of the room. Amelia and Kelly were both so confused to see Maddie bring the board. And she wrote on the board.

"Our last dance." After writing that she looked at the girls and was looking very weird.

"Ok??" Amelia was getting confused.

"So??" Kelly asked

"Are you not tired of being single, of being a nerd, of being left out and having a very boring prom night." Maddie explained with all seriousness.
