Our Last Dance

Chapter 13

Late in the evening, along the road, beside the tree, dried leaves were falling and trouping around, the breeze was cold as ice, the sky was thick and heavy with clouds, Maddie and Chris were seated together.

Maddie was shivering a bit from the cold.

"Hey, you okay ?" Chris asked looking so concerned.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Maddie lied.

Maddie was wearing a skimpy jean, with crop top, while Chris was fully dressed in thick clothes and even wore a thick coat to top it all, it was as if he was prepared for this weather.

He removed his thick coat, Maddie was wondering what he was doing.

"Here, you can have this." He said like he was an angel that came to save her from destruction.

"Thanks." Maddie was blushing as she said.

As she was wearing it, she was getting confused because of how thick the coat was, she was not able to wear it perfectly, she looks so messy at that moment but Chris held her hand.

"Wait” he said softly.

Maddie stopped.

He took the sleeves of the coat and put her hand inside so swiftly, during that moment Maddie was looking at his scattered hair, it was rough but sexy in a kind of way, she looked down a bit to his eyebrows and saw how perfectly shaped it was.

"There you go." He said those words so swiftly.

Maddie then looked at his lips as he said those words, and saw how crispy and soft it looks.

She did not hesitate to kiss him. She backed off a little bit and felt apologetic. She thought Chris would be angry at her but he blew her expectations.

He held her hand and pulled her towards him, and kissed her sensually,

At that moment Maddie thought her heart was going to burst.

They both did not hold back as they decided to kiss longer, he held her head and said

"Maddie....Wake up!!!!!!"

"Wake up.!!!!!" Bridget continued to call Maddie's name.

Maddie rolled on the bed and saw that it was all a dream.

Maddie screamed.

"Would you please keep it down.!!!" Bridget said with anger.

Maddie took the bed sheets and covered herself up and continued shouting.

"When you are done with your madness, get up and get dressed for school." Bridget ordered.

"Leave me TF alone." She shouted.

Bridget turned back and shook her head.

Maddie opened her phone immediate and went straight to her besties group chat.

"Girls we need an emergency meeting." She texted.

Afterwards she dropped her phone and went to get ready for school.

Amelia was just waking up from a dream about everything that happened with Jaden that night.

Amelia was still shocked that it was Jaden, she doesn't even know how she would place this feeling,

"Is it a feeling of love, feeling of happiness, feeling of sadness or feeling of disgust." She thought to herself.

She took her phone and saw Maddie's message in the group chat that they need emergency meeting, Amelia also know that an emergency meeting is very much needed at this point.

"Very urgent meeting is really needed." She texted.

As she stood up her notifications came on, she went back to check her phone. She saw that Kelly has sent a message to the group.

"Can't wait, I have so much to tell you guys xoxo." Kelly texted.

"Ok, whatever." Amelia said to herself as she left the room to get ready for school."

"Girls this is a disaster!!!." Amelia cried out.

Maddie and Kelly were seated and were speechless, because apparently Amelia has been ranting since they both got there.

"How could I not remember, how could I forget that it was Jaden." She continued.

"I don't even know what to say to him, I didn't even reply to his last message, he'z going to be thinking I'm so weird." She added.

"Wait what?, you didn't reply to his last message?" Kelly asked.

"Yeah I didn't." She cried out.

Maddie was so lost in thought, she didn't even pay attention to anything the girls are saying.

"Hello Maddie, can you even hear what I am saying?"

Maddie snapped out of her thought.

"Oh, yeah, that's so bad." Maddie pretends like she was listening to their conversation.

"What is going on in your mind Maddie ?" Kelly asked.

"Yeah, you look so out of it."

"Well I met Chris yesterday." Maddie replied.

"What ??" Kelly asked.

"Yeah." Maddie replied.

"Where ?" Amelia asked.

"Just somewhere that is not relevant to the meeting." Maddie said as she scratched her hair.

If they had any chance of knowing that Maddie went to La cuisine restaurant yesterday night, she would be so done for.

"Don't worry about me, let's worry about what you said Jaden did." Maddie said to divert the girls attention back to Amelia.

"Yeah so Jaden....." As Amelia was talking Maddie wanted to recall what happened yesterday night.

After Jessica performed her madness and left Chris yesterday, that Maddie walked towards Chris.

Chris felt like she was stalking him. But Maddie explained herself. After Maddie paid her bills and Chris paid his too, they walked outside together.

"You know, we still haven't done this chemistry assignment together." Maddie said to stop the silence between them.

"Yeah, maybe because we have no chemistry." Chris said.

"What the hell." Maddie said and they both laughed.

"Hey, are you and Jessica cool ?" Maddie asked.

Chris paused for a minute.

"It's okay if you don't want to talk about it, I personally don't like caring about other people's relationship."

"No, it's fine really." He said.

"It's s just that I don't really like talking about her, it upsets me more when I do." He added. As they continue walking slowly.

"There's no need for you to talk about her then." Maddie said trying to comfort him.

"Well, I want to. I've been holding back for too long." He said.

"Oh." Maddie reacted.

"So a lot of people think me and Jessica are this cute couple, and most of everybody want to be like us and stuff." He said.

"But really behind closed doors, we are not any lovely couple like the world thinks, infact, I don't even think we are even couples to begin with.

"What?" Maddie was shocked.

"Yeah, Jessica is a whole mess, I'm just another guy for her to add to her i********: page. She does not even care about me or anything about us in this relationship than pleasing everybody.

Originally, we aren't supposed to be dating, but because of her mischievous ways, that she got a deal with my dad, and my dad forced me to be her boyfriend."

"Wow, that's deep." Maddie commented.

"Even a lot more, if I decide to go into deeper details." He said.

"Wow, I never knew relationships could be this complicated." Maddie said.

"Haven't you been in one before?" He asked.

"Nope, I've been a single b**ch since forever." Maddie said.

"Wow I can't believe that." Chris was surprised.

"Well, most people don't." Maddie said.

"But how?" Chris wondered.

"I know right, with all this beauty, how?" Maddie boasted.

"I never said you were beautiful though." Chris said jokingly.

"But you thought it." Maddie said.

"Maybe, maybe not." Chris said.

"So have you been enjoying your single life." Chris asked.

"Well yes, compared to you lovers complicated life, I think I'm doing fine." She laughed.

Chris also laughed.

"Well now I want that to change though."she added.

"Ooh, that's weird, you don't look like someone who is ready to love." He said.

"What?" I have pretty face, a killer body and a smart mind. What else are guys looking for." Maddie flaunted.

"Oh, a loads more, like a cute girlfriend." He said.

"Well don't I look cute?" Maddie asked cutely.

"No, you look like someone that wants to kill, your eyes and looks are always ready to kill." Chris said.

"Stop, sheesh!!." Maddie shouted.

"So wait,about this matter of you getting a new boyfriend, is that why you were with Francis today." He asked with full curiosity.

"Maybe, maybe not." Maddie replied.

Maddie, checked the time and saw that it was getting late, she decided that she has to go home. Even though she was enjoying this special moment with Chris out here, she still know it is very wrong for her to be outside just talking with a guy.

"I have to go." Maddie said.

"Oh, that's sad." Chris said in a very sorrowful tone.

"Can't you wait a little?" He asked sorrowfully.

Maddie looked at his pouting lips and saw how pink they were, inviting someone to kiss those lips. And his eyes so blue as the sky.

"Maddie stop, we are not doing this tonight." She thought to herself.

"No, I can't." She said.

"Oh, Bye." He greeted.

"Bye" she replied

As they were both about the depart, Chris turned back and called.

"Maddie" he called so loud.

"Yes, I'm just like ten steps from you, you didn't have to call my name so hard." Maddie vented.

"Oh sorry." He apologized.

"No problem, so what is it that you were calling me for?" Maddie questioned.

"Nothing, I was just wondering maybe you'd wanna hang sometime." He blurted out.

Maddie's heart was jumping. But she tried to control herself.

"Yeah sure, we can meet up maybe this weekend for chemistry." She suggested.

"Yeah chemistry." He said.

"Well Bye." She greeted again.

"Bye". He also said.

Maddie went to her car and held her heart as it was jumping out.
