Peter’s dad came to pick us up. The man came straight from work and he said he was nearby anyway. He is asking questions like “How it was”, and “Did you drink too much” - but more as a joke, and also whether we had fun. It seems that Maria knows Mr. Brown because he asks how her sister is and so on. Mr Brown jokes he is driving his son’s car and whether he will get paid for being a driver. I have never had a parent come pick me up from wherever. Never. Except for one time when my mom came to school and said I didn’t have to stay till the end of the classes and we went to the park. It was the best day ever.
I can’t imagine Gabriel doing any of what Mr. Brown is doing. He doesn’t seem to care much, I guess.
