Hannah We drive in silence, he occasionally tells me where to turn. I didn’t have my phone, and I left without a jacket. James looks like he left without thinking much either. The road is straight, almost empty. Dark. The drizzle has gotten heavier. I open the window slightly - the air is heavy with the smell of wood. The rain mixes with the snow - the air is always weird when there's rain in winter. The place is outside of town- there’s nothing here.
