Four

“What time is it?” She asks.

“Noon.” Is my answer.

"Noon, where am I?" She replies.

"Home.”

"This isn’t home.”

"It is now.” I tell her. “Come let’s go eat.”

"Hey boss." Garret says when he sees me.

"I need you to get ready to leave with Trinity. She needs to go pack her things and move them here.”

“Yes sir. I was heading for breakfast..”

“Us too.”

We get to the dining room and I watch her face. She takes in the buffet style breakfast nook. “This is amazing.” She says. I hand her a plate and start putting food on mine. “Um, so it might be best for you to take me home to get my stuff.” She says as we sit down.

“Very well. Eat then we will go. But Garret is coming with.” I tell her. After we finish eating I motion Garret over to us. “Change of plans I am going with you two.” I say and Garret nods his head. We walk out to the garage and Garret opens the back door for Trinity. She smiles at him and climbs into the backseat. I walk around and climb into the backseat on the drivers side. And Garret starts to drive. We get to the end of the drive and Garret looks back at us.

“Twelve fifteen Oakdale Drive.” She tells him. We sit in silence until we get there. “I apologize for anything you hear.”

"Where have you been?" I hear as the door opens. "Oh hello." She says when she sees me. "Brad has been looking for Jake all night. His car is parked in front of the club but he is nowhere to be found. I was kind of hoping he was with you."

"Why would I be with him?" She says. “First room at top of the stairs.” She tells us. We head up and she stays downstairs talking to the girl. “I am moving out.”

“Why?”

“Moving in with….”

“You lucky bitch.” Her friend cuts her off.

“Trinity we need your help packing certain things.” I say from the top of the stairs. She looks up at me and starts walking up to me.

“The only things I really need are my clothes.”

“Yes well unless you want us going through your dresser drawers.” I say to her. She walks over and opens a drawer. She empties it out into a tote box and puts the lid on it.

“I am due in to work at two.” She says. I look at my watch it almost one ten.

“Let’s go out so she can get ready for work.” I tell Garret.

She comes out a few minutes later dressed in jeans and a t-shirt. We head back out to the car. Garret drives us to the diner. “Will you be in today?”

"Yes, daily platter and a coke." I tell her. She gets out and walks inside. “Garret to the office for now. I say. "Any phone calls?" I ask the receptionist once we are inside.

"No sir." She says batting her eyes at me.

"I will be in my office preparing for the meeting." I tell her turning and walking away. I go into my office and close the door. I go to my desk and sit. I start looking at the folder on my desk. This guy owes me one hundred grand. He better have my money or he will join the ass in the basement.
