I turned to Ethan who was looking at me in shock. There were other persons there too, and they all rose to their feet in worry. I rolled my eyes mentally as I walked away from them, climbing up the stairs in response.
I could hear them ask amongst themselves if I had indulged in another fight elsewhere since I was looking battered, but I didn’t say a word to them. They were irrelevant to me. I placed my hands on the wooden banister with every step I took till I got to the top of the stairs.
