Zerina's point of view The world rocked beneath me in a steady rhythm, a low hum thrumming through the seat against my spine. I blinked, sluggishly at first, until the blurred streaks of night outside the window sharpened into the passing shapes of trees and glowing street lamps. I was in a car? My heart stumbled into panic as memories spilled back in a rush. The bar, the suffocating air, the sudden fear that clawed at my chest before the darkness took me. My hands trembled on my lap, the tips of my finger cold as though my blood had drained out of me, but when I saw the perfect figure sitting in the driver's seat, my panic and accelerating heartbeat though not gone, loosened its grip.
