Zerina's point of view But because of Shea, I pushed through, trying to ignore the whispers. The only light came at the far end of the alley, casting long, eerie shadows. My ears rang with more whispers. "Shea?" My voice cracked, too small for the empty night. "Shea, are you out here?" No reply. I shivered as the whispers drew closer . "Shea!!" I yelled louder this time. My words bounced against the walls and came back to me hollow. A cold gust brushed my skin, making me shiver . The whispers pressed in. It felt suffocating.
