The hidden princess

Backstory

I don’t know how much time has passed or where I was but I started to slowly wake up. But for some reason I couldn’t get my eyes to stay open. So sadly I passed out again. Next thing I know i woke up in a very soft bed surrounded by lots of loud beeping. I instantly began to freak out oh my god my father he caught me I’m gonna die. I started to have a panic attack before I heard the voice of an older woman yelling calm down calm down I’m not gonna hurt you. I relaxed slightly but was still very cautious. She introduced her self to me as Ms. Anna. She asked me what happened and how I ended up passed out in the outskirts of her village. I refused to answer her. She could tell it had to be something serious so she didn’t push me. She offered for me to come and live with her until I figured out what my next step would be. So for the last seven years I have been living with her and her son adam. They treated me like family and they have protected and loved me. Two years after I moved in with  I told them what happened and why I ran away. So with the help of Ms. Anna I changed my name and cut and died my hair and even got colored contacts. I began school as her niece and have lived her happily for the last seven years. Next week is my eighteenth birthday and sadly the day I have no choice but to return to my kingdom and overthrow my father. Yay! Not.  Now let’s jump back to the present. Adam and I are headed to school for the last week of senior year for some reason he is being extremely quiet. Now I think about it he looks really pale and scared and nervous. Anyone that knows Adam knows he isn’t easily spooked. Which instantly puts me on the defense. Adam what’s wrong ar arre you okay I stuttered? He looks at me with tears and fear in his eye.
