Laurel woke up with a start in the brightly lit room. Her chest moved up and down rapidly as she sat up on the bed in Darius' room. She glanced at the clock and gasped.
It was well past midnight.
She accidentally fell asleep while waiting for Darius.
Ugh, Laurel pressed her forehead. Gripping the sheets, she recalled what happened before falling asleep.
Today she made up her mind to let Darius know what was in her heart. That she wanted to be marked by him.
Yes, her wolf was being cooperative but that was another problem for another day. At the very least she wanted Darius to know that she was ready and the day when her wolf responded to her calls would be the day he could mark her for good.
