Oliver’s pov I’ve got to find her. I am so sorry Bea. I won’t ever forgive myself. When I find Bea I’ll frickin’ spoil her rotten. Unable to think as Cole is shouting and screaming on how much of an i***t I am. And I am going to have to agree this time with him, sadly. Ignoring all the chaos around me I push through making my way back outside as Cole tries to take over me. Feeling Robin hot on my heels. Don’t worry Bea, I’ll try my best not to let you down again. Shifting I sprint off in the direction of Bea’s home. Robin is not far behind me. Once we arrive it’s quiet, no lights on. “Maybe she went to bed already?” Robin mind-linked me. “No, her scent isn’t that strong. She’s not in there.” Panic and worry start to take cause of my body making my heart beat faster and my blood pump out of control. “Dad, get people out checking for anything suspicious.” I mind-link him. “Already done, don’t worry son.” Breathing a sigh of relief, me and Robin decide to also do our own check of the borders, just in case. Please be alright Bea. “Any updates?” Robin asks one of the patrols that just knocked on the office door. As I am too busy pacing and thinking on how I should be put there looking for her, not here tucked in this stupid office. “No, sorry.” He bows his head to us both. “Then what are you doing here and not out there looking for her!” I shout as I ready myself to pounce. Jumping between me and my prey, Robin tackles me to the ground. “Out now!” He shouts to the patrol guard. “What the hell man! I know you are worried about her but killing him won’t help.” Huffing I get myself out of his grip and stand back up. “Sorry man.” I say “It’s just-” “I know. But I shouldn’t be the one that you should be apologising to.” Robin says while placing his hand on my back and moving in gentle circles. “I know, thanks man.” Soon it was dark out and in a puff of cloudy ash smoke a white envelope appeared. Grabbing it and ripping it open. Revealing a letter. ’Dear little puppy, I regret to inform you that it seems you have misplaced something. And it has thankfully fallen into my hands, after I vanquished the enemy that was keeping such a poor creature in a dark, damp, cold and wet cave. Just off the border of your territory actually, foolish creatures I do have to say as keeping her there, well you would have found her in no time. So one could say that I have captured the eye of the Alpha. I do have to say you have quite nice taste, better than I expected. I might even keep this one for myself. All the best, ′ “What the?” And right after I finish reading the letter, before I can even process it disappears in another puff of black smoke. “What the hell was that?” Robin says, in the doorway with bags of takeout food in his hands. Kicking the door closed he drops the bags at his desk before making his way towards me. “I have no idea. But I do know that whoever sent it has Bea.” “Too bad it disappeared, we might have been able to track the person who sent it.” “I know.” I say as I cradle my head in both hands. “Robin, get the patrol looking for a cave on the outskirts of our border.” “Right on it.” He said, mimicking a salute. Don’t worry Bea I’ll get you and bring you back to safety. “Alpha.” The patrol linked me. “We have found a cave.” Hearing those words I jump out of my seat and rushed to them. Once at the cave I get a strong smell of freshly baked bread fills my nose. Bea. Charging into the cave only to be met with two unconscious men and a wooden chair and pieces of cut rope. “Get them and take them to the holding cells!” I bark commands to the patrol. “Yes Alpha.” “Where is she?” I question one of the men that we found in the cave. “Who?” His words slurred as his head hung loose. “The girl you kidn*pped!” I snap, grabbing his face with one hand, squishing his cheeks. “Where is she?” “I... I don’t know... ” “What do you mean you don’t know?” Anger sizzling through my veins. “There was a man. Um I can’t seem to remember him.” While talking his body became more uncontrollably fidgety and sweaty. “Where’s Dale?” He asked. “First you answer me! Where is she? Why did you take her?” Not answering, he looked around, eyes half open. “Oh man, I don’t feel so good.” Sweat started to pour out of him at a high rate. “Answer my questions and I’ll let the doctor in and you can see Dale. Okay?” “Yes .... yes! Okay..” “Good.” “Why did you kidnap her?” I say crouching down to his height. “Um Dale got a tip from someone- ” His words were interrupted by a sharp scream of pain. Along with his body going rigid and then back to floppy. “He came to the cave. He knocked Dale out ... I tried to stop him but ...” A grunt left the man’s body. “He.. . I can’t remember.” Sweat pooling from him. ‘Alpha I think it’s best if I can come in now.’ One of the pack doctors linked me. Sighing I stand to my full height. “We are done for today.” “No please don’t leave me please. Wait, I can tell you.. I remember som-” Turning around I face him intrigued on what he has to say. But before any more words can come out his body goes still, and looking into his eyes I see them drain of colour. “Mark, get in here!” I shout to the doctor. As Mark comes through the door, opened for him by the two guards placed at it. He rushes to the man, only for the body to turn into ash. As he crumbles away as Mark tries to find a pulse. Looking towards me and slowly rising from the ground. Mark takes a handful of the ashes. “I’ll go back and check on the other one. As well as this.” He said, raising the ash. “Please do.” Marching back to my office I am greeted with robin, who has taken it upon himself to wheel in a cork board, push pins and some red yarn. “You wouldn’t believe wha-” I say. “Already know, the man turned to ashes and the other still wont wake up.” “How did you-” “Know? Well that’s easy I got David and some other pack members to link me and keep me updated. for my invitation.” Shaking my head I take my seat. “You know we will find her.” Robin said more seriously as he placed a hand on my shoulder. “Yeah..”
