He gestured for Winter, Cyclone, and Bolt to follow, which, after a moment of hesitation, they did. Hesitation might have seemed like a silly response to the doorkeeper inviting them into the Clock Tower—which had been the trio’s ultimate goal this entire time—but Winter was very suspicious of what the Clock Keeper meant by referring to them as ‘toys’ that she could ‘play’ with.
Reminds me of Aeno telling us that he’s gonna turn all of the Tournament’s losers into toys, Winter thought as he, Cyclone, and Bolt followed the doorkeeper into the Tower, only somehow I don’t think that’s what she meant.
