The other Furies screamed in response, and the alligator roared, “You dare betray us like this?” She ambled toward me with unnatural speed, her jaws wide, her fangs glistening under the moonlight, and I knew she would chomp down on me within seconds. But then Belial lunged at her with a growl, picking her up with his impossible strength. He lifted the alligator over his head and swung her around like he was a wrestler, before tossing her into the portal. Yes! Two Furies down, one to go.
