Chapter 6

Edwards P.O.V. 

I listened to Lucy as she told me her story about her scars and how she didn't really remember where or how she got them. And how whoever did this to her was a relative and that they had raped her at only 10 years old. And how thankfully the Lexington's took her in when her dad found her. And how the Alpha was nice enough to let her stay in the pack so she wouldn't be in any danger. She finished and turned around to face me and held me like as if all this had happened to me and not her.  "I told you I was ready I didn't think to ask if you were."  was all she said. I was shocked she had just told me all these horrible things and she was worried if I was ok. I hugged her back and kissed her more passionately this time. I took the new loofah my mom had bought from the Packhouse and squirted some of her soap on it and started to wash her back. She grabbed my soap which smells like burnt wood and started to help wash my back. We got done washing each other and I wanted to take her right then and there but I controlled myself to the best of my ability. I stood up and helped her out of the tub and grabbed a dark red towel and wrapped her in it she thanked me and walked into our room and began to dry off she dropped the towel and climbed into the bed naked. I was shocked that she didn't put any sleepwear on so I did the same and climbed in next to her. She curled up into me and started to kiss me I was shocked and let her have control. "Doll if you keep doing that I don't know how much I'm going to be able to control myself," I said. She pulled back and said the most shocking thing I have heard her say. "I want to have our mating ceremony tomorrow." I looked at her " are you sure doll" I asked? "Yes, I want you mated to me as soon as possible," she said. Okay was all I could say. We went to sleep and I had the best sleep of my life. I woke up to her gone I began to freak then I smelled her and these amazing smells coming from the kitchen I walked down after I had put on some basketball shorts. She smiled at me and said breakfast is served I didn't even know we had food apparently my mom had but some groceries in the house as well last night. There was bacon, sausage, eggs, toast, and orange juice I sat down. We ate breakfast and then headed to the packhouse.

Lucy P.O.V.

We walked into the packhouse and I was shocked at how big it was. It looked like a skyscraper it was about 10 stories tall. I know this was the biggest pack in New Orleans but I wasn't expecting it to be this big. We walked in and Edward led me to the kitchen where everyone was eating Jacklyn is the first person to walk up to me. "Welcome to the packhouse sweetheart good morning are you hungry?" she asked. "No ma'am we ate at our house" I replied. Edward smiled at me and his parents "Dad we need to speak to you in private, mom you come to please."  We walked into what I assumed was Edwards alpha's office. "Mom, dad we need to plan the mating ritual for Lucy and me tonight please," Edward said. Both of his parents looked shocked. Deacon looked at me and said " Really Lucy your ready to do this already. Our mating ritual is different than at your pack." he said. "How is it different?" I asked. "Well, Edward and you will mark each other out in our garden and then complete the ritual in front of everyone," he said. I wasn't surprised because the Black Veil pack is one of the oldest packs in America. So I figured they were old school. I said " I am completely okay with that sir. As long as honey is okay with it." He smiled at me and replied, "I want to keep with tradition but I need yall to see something first." He looked at me and asked me to lift my arms so I did. He lifted my shirt and showed his parents my scars and they both gasped in shock. At that moment his mom hugged me and began to apologize. I didn't understand why she was apologizing to me. She pulled back and said, "that I must be the Lexingtion's daughter." I nodded my head in a yes motion. She said that she had visited me in the hospital while I was asleep. I understood now that she explained. 

Edward said that he and his father need to prepare the men for what they are going to see. He had mind-linked his brothers and they called everyone to come to the garden.  Jacklyn and I went down to the girls and she asked them to come out to the training area because there was a stage and I lifted my shirt again and all the women seen my scars. When we were done with the showing of my scars. Jacklyn, the mates of all the brothers, and I went to the mall to go shopping for a dress and other things we need for the ritual. We went into a*****e called Sarian's. I walked in and saw this dark red dress that matched our bedroom walls at our house. It was right about two inches above my knee and it was a halter with the back was cut out to the small of my back. Jacklyn found a black dress that was floor link with red stars on it as well. The other girls found dresses that were all beautiful. We left there and went to Christian Louboutin I started to walk back out. " Oh My God I can't buy any of these I don't have the money in my ceremony account my dress took most of it," I said. Then, Becky and Betty, the twins said " Oh no honey we are getting you the shoes so just pick out 4 pairs that you want." "Four pairs of these shoes are they are expensive as hell," I responded. "Just pick out whatever you want and don't even think about looking at the price tag," said Betty. I found a pair that are red and fade into black close-toed that were about 6 inches tall I also found a pair of nude 7-inch tall heels, a nice white pair that looked like Cinderella shoes that were 5 inches tall, and finally, I found a purple pair that were 8 inches tall. I was surprised that they had them my size. The twins sent me out with Kelly and April who were also doing their ritual tonight as well while they paid for all of the shoes. Then we went into Ulta and I went crazy because Edward told me to buy all new makeup so that I would have whatever I need. My total came out to be 450 dollars. We then went to Victoria's Secret and Jacklyn helped me get some lingerie she said I wouldn't need it tonight but I might want to have it later. We finally walked out and got into my truck. There was me, Jacklyn, the twins, April, Kelly. We put everything in the guards van and the rest of the mates got into the SUV. And we headed back to the packhouse. It was already six p.m. and the ritual started at 8 we went straight to our house and we all started to get ready. We went upstairs and I showered in my bathroom and they used the other bathrooms to shower we all meet in my room to get ready. I straightened my hair and Jacklyn helped me into my dress the twins each put on one of my red and black pumps. Then they did the same with April and Kelly. I did my makeup with red and black smokey eyes with dark red matte lipstick Fenty Beauty highlighter that I knew would sparkle in the moonlight. We all went downstairs and climb into my truck to head to the garden.
