LUCIEN I didn't take away my eyes from that Alpha as he walked away with her. He carried her in a bridal-style as if they were very intimate, and all I could do was watch them go further and further until they disappeared from my sight. Only a few minutes. I was able to have time with her for only a few minutes, yet he stole that time that we are supposed to have. Even if I used her wound as an excuse, it didn't work. I'm sure that he saw through my action, or that he is just insecure enough to stop someone from helping her. My eyes travelled down to my hands — the ones that touched her so gently for a few moments. They were warm, and I can still feel her in my skin. The scent coming from her lingered on mine, to the point that I don't even want to wash my hands to preserve that smell
