For the whole day until sunset, Alaric and I kept up the acting. I would do all of the work and look pitiful in front of the people, while Alaric acted like the villain whose only pleasure is to make me suffer.
Just like what Alaric told me earlier, the people near the border are really hostile towards me. Everytime I knocked on the doors of the houses near that area, I was always greeted with their annoyed expression. Some even grabbed the boxes with huge force, making me stumble towards me.
Of course, just like the first area where we went, I acted like Alaric had been making my life difficult. We tweaked our acting depending on what gossip they have on that area. For example, if that area knows me as a cursed woman, I would act like I don't want my power and that even Alaric
