The beams of light that hit my face woke me up from my deep slumber. It seeped through my eyelids and tapped my pupils gently. It's like the sunlight telling me to get up and start my day once again.
But this is not like my regular days.
As soon as my eyes opened, all of my senses woke up with it. I wasn't able to process everything at first yet the pain from my lower body had almost made me groan involuntarily. My calf felt like it's pulsating, and that one wrong move might worsen the sensation I'm feeling now.
