Jabali switched on the TV in a bid to get a distraction. He only had one favourite channel; the Animal Channel. He watched the nature series hosted by Tim Tany , an explorer. Tim Tany had visited the rich wildlife site in East Africa and especially the Tsavo. He had previously covered the Wildebeast migration to Serengeti National park in Tanzania. Jabali watched with interest as Tim Tany set up camp at the Tsavo National park for another exploration activity. Tim Tany talked at length about the big five , their beauty and input to the environment , he also highlighted that they were an endangered species. The big five though mighty needed to be protected from Poachers. He insisted that everyone had a role to play in order to ensure that these animals are safe. The big five include; The African Elephant , The Lion , The Leopard , Cape Buffalo and Rhinoceros. These animals were targeted by poachers for their immense value. The black and White Rhinoceros were quite a sight to behold, Tim Tany insisted that it was a must see in exploration of the wildlife in East Africa. Rex had been resting on the floor the entire time , Jabali called out to him and he happily joined him on the couch. Rex loved being next to Jabali , he always made him feel comfortable and loved. They watched the nature series for a while until both of them fell asleep at the couch. The noise at the garage sturtled Jabali , he quickly woke up and looked at the Wall clock . He realised that he had slept for almost four hours , the Television set was still on but Nature series had ended. He was sure that the noise from the garage was from his parents. They were back from the restaurant. Rex headed to the front door , just to ensure that indeed it was Jabali's parents. Mr and Mrs Muta opened the front door and got into the house. Tina , Jabali's mother , hugged Rex and walked with him to the sitting room. Jabali welcomed his parents and helped them carry the foodstuffs to the kitchen counter. " Jabali, is the hand getting better?" his mum asked. " Yes , It's less painful than before, but I still can't lift heavy objects with it ," answered Jabali. "Don't worry , it will get better soon ," added his Father. sometimes , Jabali didn't mind being an only child , the love and attention he got from his parents was overwhelming. Since they had carried some food from the restaurant, they did not need to cook supper that day. Jabali's mother set the table and they all ate as his parents talked about the activities at the restaurant. After supper , Jabali carried the dishes to the Kitchen sink and attempted to clean them. He mainly used his left hand but this was also a struggle. "Jabali , let me help you with that,"said his father. " I just wish I can get better and be able to perform my previous duties as I used to , " said Jabali. " You will be able to , once you get better , " added his Father. After the dishes were clean and Rex was in his Kennel to sleep. Jabali went back to his room to explore Grandmother's book , before he sleeps.
