We pulled up to her apartment building, and I shifted into the park. Stella turned to face me, her expression softening.
"You know what? I'll wait and see how this master plan of yours unfolds." She leaned over and kissed my cheek. "Who knows? Maybe your crazy business approach will actually work."
"You sound skeptical."
"Let's just say I'm cautiously optimistic." She grabbed her bag. "Besides, watching you try to organize this whole situation might be the most entertaining thing ever."
"Your faith in me is overwhelming."
"Hey." She paused with her hand on the door handle. "For what it's worth, I hope it works out. All of it. The three of us... it's weird and complicated, but somehow it feels right."
