The silence stretched on until I couldn't take it anymore. “Say something,” I whispered.
Mason ran a hand through his hair, a fleeting moment of hesitation from a man who was usually so calm. “Clara, it's not simple.”
“It's a yes or no question.”
“No, it's not.” He walked over to the window, looking out into the woods. “I'm attracted to you in ways that I don't fully understand.
