I didn’t go home right away.
Even after Riven agreed to give me time, even after Kael stopped arguing like I was about to disappear into thin air the moment they looked away… I still couldn’t make myself leave immediately.
It wasn’t fear.
Not exactly.
It was that strange feeling of being too aware of everything inside me.
