I kept myself strong as wait for my mate to open her eyes. I wanted to be strong, but deep in my heart I fear that I might lose her again and that’s the last thing I want to happen. I squeezed my eyes shut to stop the tears that are about to fall and I silently prayed for it to be over soon. I continued to gaze upon my mate when a knock on the door caught my attention.
“Lucian.”
“What’s the urgency Dmitri?” I asked; my eyes still glued on my unconscious mate.
“Three of our neighbouring packs from the south are being attack by rogues and non-human hunters.” I’ve been expecting the rogue king’s move but I wasn’t expecting it to happen sooner.
“Gather our warriors and wait for me in front of the palace. I will personally get rid of them myself.” Following my orders, Dmitri left
