I practically ran to the window and without thinking about any consequences, I opened it to allow Ace to come into the room.
"Wouldn't it be better if I stayed outside?" He asked with a chuckle and I shook my head, closing the window and the curtains after he had stepped inside.
"I doubt it matters anymore. We have a bigger problem right now," I said to him as he walked over to the desk where he remained standing. I turned around to see the look of curiosity on his face. He was waiting for me to explain what the problem was and I was compelled to look at the door for a few seconds. As would be usual, it was locked, so there wasn't a chance that anyone would interrupt us.
