My voice abandoned me and I didn't know anything to say. Fleur was standing beside the table and before me, bowing slightly as though she were a servant and apologizing. On any other day, I wouldn't have taken her words seriously but this time she sounded sincere. Not only was there a tint of remorse in her voice, she also expressed her realization of how much she had hurt me and Ven when she went to Ruslan for our wedding day.
She used the excuse that Iris put her up to the task of ruining the wedding and I couldn't help but believe her. I was gullible.
