Aria's POV The blood moon hung above Mooncrest like an open wound. Its crimson light covered the pack territory, staining the rooftops, the trees, and the mountains in shades of red. No wolf slept. The elders called it impossible. The Council called it an omen. The warriors called it war. I called it fear. Because somewhere beyond those mountains, the Shadow Alpha was waiting. And now we had only seven days. Seven days to prepare. Seven days to understand the prophecy. Seven days before everything changed. I stood on the balcony outside my room, unable to look away from the moon. The silver crown beneath my skin burned softly. Nyra paced restlessly. Something is changing. "I know." The bond suddenly stirred. Damien. He was awake. Worried. Thinking. Always thinking.
