Raelynn The first few days of my holiday was blurred boredom and routine. Valentine, my adoptive father, was a will-o'-the-wisp, and Alexis was still MIA. There was an almost deadly silence in the manor, allowing me to wander through its large, resounding halls for all I was worth. It was only in the library that I found comfort, a sort of solace that kept at bay in loneliness. It was in that, with the turn of pages of a book, I could lose myself between the pages and forget, even if just for a moment, the complex web of my life.
