3. Driving Away

1714 Words
I needed a way out of this situation; as much as I loved Olivia, I knew I could not drag her when her life had finally improved; she had a happy family that was blossoming, whereas mine wasn't. Today reminded me of when I returned to the convention center for Tampa Bay Comic Con, this time with Jordan. I felt like I was with an American version of my husband the entire time we were there, and they were on call back to back. All of this made me feel worse because I knew my husband treated my friend's husband, who is our roommate, better than he treats me. Many people wanted to take pictures with me because I was cosplaying a neko in a pink maid dress, but every time I was asked, they were guys, and Jordan always told my husband if I took a picture with Simeón or not. My husband would then send me another insulting text message. Today I was finished. Packing the things I needed to get out of this place, I knew I needed to get out of Florida. Olivia had agreed with her boyfriend to drive my car up to Jacksonville while I flew home. I had arrived hours earlier, Jordan was being a jerk, and one day the guy would leave for his wife; God be with them both. Checking my cell. I would been texting Earl like crazy; he was the most amazing man, and he agreed to be there for me after my uncle agreed to pay for the moving of my car. I asked my mother for a plane ticket to Puerto Rico for the first time in years, and I would be staying in the hell house her husband had kicked me out of because I would be starting from scratch. All of my friends back home were curious to find out what had happened, but I was not ready to reveal everything; if I knew my husband, he had other plans to explain why I abandoned him. I was zipping my bag when I received a text from Xander, another guy who was nice to me. Xander| So my wife is being a cunt again, like, who the f***s cooks a medium rare steak when I said I was vegan a month ago? I laughed at his text; I knew he had a difficult relationship with his wife; M had introduced us both after he had a disagreement with Xander, but after that clarification during my return to the apartment, I had been feeling bad for the guy; nothing he wanted he got, and I knew exactly how that felt. Me| Well, have you tried declining nicely? Setting the cell on the bed, I moved my bag to the edge of my bed. I knew it was a good idea; I wanted to meet Xander. He and his wife had a son named Vixen, which is why he married her; she got knocked up, but it was not a set-up; Xander never knew his father, and his mother raised him alone with his siblings. He did not want the same life for his son, despite his obsession with another girl; perhaps I could be a better version of both of them. "It is worth a shot." I tell myself that when I take a step back to feel someone behind me, I see Jordan with a sorry expression on his face; I did not even hear him knock on the door to my room. "What is worth a shot?" He inquired, a little overly excited. "Is it worth it to go visit my aunt in Texas?" She had a baby five years ago, but I had not met him yet. Instead of staying here alone, I could visit her and then travel to Puerto Rico, so I am not alone." He rolled his eyes at me. "What if you keep your title of hoe? You could do it right now and stop wasting your husband's money; he works for the money you blow up. He quickly defended my soon-to-be ex-husband. Is it wrong to leave this mess? To avoid a fight, I quickly asked, "Anywho, I am driving there so no money wasted; did you finish packing?" He nods and walks to my bathroom, which we share until tomorrow, emerging with his pimple popping kit in hand. Jordan is a husky, bold guy with a Viking beard and a million freckles. He is always in his boxers with no shirt on, and his wife accused me of being a hoe with him. I am not interested in guys like Jordan, and he reminds me too much of my stepfather, which is disgusting. He walks to my side of the bed and picks up the PS4 controller, seeing an opportunity to take my bag, "I am coming back, just putting my bag in my car, okay?" He did not respond, so I said, "Yeah, you can use my PS4, but no porn or anything like that, Jordan." He slightly raised his hand, indicating that I should leave, and I walked away to leave my bag. Jordan enters my apartment with his arms crossed, holding my cell phone. "Why do you?" He snaps at me, "I do not know who Xander, M, and Earl are, but how come they get to f**k you while I don't?" His words caught me off guard; I did not feel safe sleeping in my apartment anymore, but I had nowhere else to go and no money. Jordan flinched when my phone vibrated just as I was about to respond. I took it from him and realized it was my husband in the line. “Hey!” I quickly responded, "Hello, how are things? Jordan has not logged on, and I do not have time to waste. I am doing him a big favor: get him to the PS4. Bye." I could not respond because once he gave his order, he hung up on me. "He needs you online." Jordan ran into my room. I was silently praying that his Asperger's would strike so that I could sleep in my apartment one more time. It worked because they both continued to play online. Jordan fell asleep until three a.m., when I had to drive him to the airport near where my aunt Jocy lives with her son. I had already visited her and wanted to know how she was before returning home. After I dropped Jordan off, I waited in my car to see when he arrived at his wife. Once they were reunited, they both blocked me on all of their social media accounts, including the groups we used to administer. She had kicked me out and called me a hoe. I guess I will not have a Swedish friend, but that is okay. Starting my car, I drove to Texas with my old friend Pelu, M, Earl, my mother, and Xander. I was pulled over for excessive driving, but it was so much fun getting to Texas. It took me three days, which caused many plans to fall through, such as giving my car, which I had to reschedule, and Olivia found out at the last minute. She yelled at me because I had left my dog Bruno and my husband's cat Maya in the apartment. I left my neighbor in charge, but Olivia offered to help, so I agreed. My soon-to-be ex-husband never called me on the way to Texas. My biggest fear was crossing the massive ass Louisiana bridge; I swear I was going to pass out from being so high up, stuck between three trucks. When I finally arrived in this state's capital, I almost got lost trying to find Xanders; on my way, I received an inbox from McDonald's, a military friend I had s*x-texted. I kept in touch with a lot of people, but it felt great to know I was not alone and that I had options for a marriage. When I arrived in the ghetto side of San Antonio, Texas, I walked into a really bad apartment complex, with a mattress hanging out of the front apartment that would allow me to enter a square garden. On the other side, on the far right, Xander stood, and I waved my hand, holding my bag to change my clothes. I had not told any of the guys, but Mother Nature had been with me the entire ride. Xander was kind enough to give me some time to freshen up. He walked into the bathroom while I was showering quickly. I had not met his wife, but I hoped she would be nice enough to let me crash; it was nearly nine of the clock at night. "My wife is on her way; hurry up and leave after our quicky," his words echoed in my mind. “Xander I said we could, but I am in PMS and it is been a long drive. Can not I just crash? I can talk to her; I am going to see my aunt. "I was just passing by." He hit the door, scaring me, and we both heard his son make a loud noise. Xander had returned, pushing me to the front of the sink and shifting my underwear. He tapped my core with his tip, but nothing passed through. I did not feel anything when he took a step back after seeing the large hanging condom flop with a blood clot from my PMS attached to it. He muffled his words while walking with his shirt in his mouth, but I could hear them clearly. "Not even going on, I get what I want. "Get out!" He yelled, so I took my belongings and said goodbye to Vixen. I had seen him on my way up here, and since it was raining, I took out my umbrella and went to sleep in my car. I was leaving tomorrow. I had no desire to remain where I was only going to be used for his own benefit. Why did I bother thinking I was wanted by someone who had what I always wanted? One day, I would have my children. Thinking about my miscarriages made me sleep with tears in my eyes.
