“Very good Stone, you haven’t lost a bit of your training, at this rate the Alpha will be having your Beta ceremony by Halloween.” John smiles at me and I return it until I remember the other deadline. I loved Halloween, it is my second favorite holiday, Christmas being the first, strange for wolves to celebrate such things but we aren’t just animal, we are part human as well and what can I say, those are my favorite human traditions.
“Well let’s just hope he agrees, Alpha wasn’t too happy with me when I came back.” I reply and John goes ramrod straight as I frown.
“Could you blame me Mr. Varcolac?” I close my eyes shut and sigh, of course he was right behind me. I turn and smile sheepishly.
“No sir of course not, just explaining not complaining, honestly.” I reply and he nods.
