Rayne. Pain, terrible, excruciating, please kill me now pain. I had heard Stone tell me I was about to shift, though it was far too early and then nothing but this horrid misery. It was as if fire met a boulder falling to crush me; my veins seemed to burn with an intensity no living being should have to endure while trying to avoid being crushed by an unsurmountable weight and I was losing. I hear his voice but it is as if I am under water, everything blurry, muffled and as I try to understand to grab hold of some sliver of sanity, the breaking starts and the misery floods through me once more; had I been told shifting would hurt this damn much I would have jumped off the cliff.
