Hello Academy

949 Words
It was last week when we arrived at the town and today is the first day I am going to attend that academy. There’s not much that happened last week, we just fixed the house. I am actually amazed with the house my parents said they have rented. I don’t know if how long we will stay at this town but I’m guessing it would be that long that I really have to finish high school here. It would be that damn job they have. They are actually secret agents employed by an organization. So everything they do have to remain as secret. Sometimes I like their job because I can be as cool as them and could join them but it is too secretive which I hate. I faced the mirror to see my reflection; well I look fine with the black leather jacket as always. But this time, I added ball cap. I don’t know what kind of students the academy have, so I’ll just wear the cap for the day and observe. Satisfied with my looks, I went out of my room. My mother downstairs has called my name multiple times already. “Look at who decided to show up,” my mother greeted me with a hug. “I am not going to be late, you’re just too early,” I replied to her. “Hey dad, good morning,” I said to my father at the table having his meal and looking at his phone from time to time. I sat down to join him and eat the sandwich my mother gave me. “Morning too darling,” he replied as he take a bite of his sandwich. “By the way, you never told me what your mission is,” I said staring at my father, expecting an answer. “You know we can’t tell you,” my mother answered me as she joins us on the table. “That’s unfair, I have been dragged here because of that mission, the least you can do is tell me,” I’m doing a huge sacrifice leaving New York for the mission, I need to know what’s up. “We can’t tell you yet, but you’ll be in when your role will appear,” My father answered me this time. “Now I’m getting curious, I…” “Just do well at the academy while you’re not in,” My mother cut me from what I’m going to say. “You know, I am always well at school,” I said while I swallow the last of my sandwich and grab the glass of water. “And you know what I mean, behave well.” My mother said with a firm voice. I laughed, I do cause trouble sometimes but because I couldn’t stand a b***h’s face. “As long as no one will irritate me, I’ll be in my best behavior. I’ll get going now, goodbye.” I stand out of the table and head for the door, grabbing my bag I left at stairs. Just upon going out, I was surprised that the door opened showing my father’s face. “I’ll drive you to the academy, I’m meeting somebody just near the place,” he said as he looks at me with his smile. “Is that the one you are waiting for on the phone? But well thanks for the ride dad,” “I see you’re quite curious and observant and yes it is,” he said as he walks to the car and I followed. “Is that how you act when you’re in missions? It’s very obvious that it could give away your cover,” I said after getting in the car. “You’re really talented, it suits you for military, they need a talent like yours,” my father again insisting me to study military. “It’s not my fault that I’m natural, but I don’t see myself joining military. I like your job though,” “Such a shame,” he said then kept quite as I did. The thought of what could be their mission still bothers me. This place is a small town, the possibility that a high profiled criminal could be hiding around the area could be one. The place is peaceful, and secluded from cities, it could be the best place to hide. As my mind wanders, I didn’t notice the car stopped. “See you later dad,” I said as I get down of the car. “Umm, I think your mother forgot to tell you that we’ll not be around tonight and the next three days. We have things to do.” My father said. “Ohh, you are always not around and it’s like I can prevent you, just be careful.” I’m pissed. They brought me at this place and just leave me alone. I don’t know any person in this place. “I’m sorry darling, I’ll get going.” He said and get in the car. I stood in front of the entrance of the academy, watching every student enter. The buildings are impressive, they have a classic design. I fixed the ball cap as I released a deep breath and enter the school.
