“Make sure she gets enough rest and keep her off her feet for a day or two ” The old woman who was the local healer on the island said to Ryder as Alexis had drifted off to sleep after another wonderful round of massage.

“Sure thing, besides we are suppose to be on honeymoon so she won't be needing to use much of her feet” Ryder said as they both walked out of the room.

“Oh, since you've just informed me of that I suppose I must say, if you guys plan on going intimate tonight,avoid anything that has to do with her butt, ok??” She smiled at him and walked out.

Bloody hell.

Ryder stood frozen as he tried to analyze what she had just said.

Intimate, does she mean.... Argh don't even go there young man.

He strolled to the kitchen and decided to make some breakfast for her.

After a long blissful rest and sleep, Alexis woke up without pain in any of her muscles , all thanks to the massage and the extremely soft and relaxing bed. She stood up took a long yawn and inhaled deeply.

Ahhh smells wonderful, the clean air and perfumed room. Smells like...

She immediately frowned at the thought as she couldn't bring herself to admit it.

Smells like the royal pervert.

She rolled the duvet over her and went to the shower, where she ran a bit of chilly water to wash off the laziness and sleep off her, and went to put on something fresh before heading down stairs.

As she walked down , she was drawn closer by a sweet scent of food and immediately her stomach rummbled as she remembered that she had not had breakfast.

“What the hell are you doing on your feet!!” Ryder yelled as he turned and noticed her standing behind him with cute eyes that screamed this wildcub is starving.

“Why does that concern you” she said putting on the bitchy act quickly.

“It concerns me because you are my wife and you are hurt , Jeez I need to take care of your welfare and right now the doctor said you need to be off you feet and in bed .”

She was quite shocked at his outburst and was more shocked when she heard him call her his wife.

Her cheeks reddened a little and then she shook it off.

“You are wrong Ryder” she said in a cold voice as she gave him a different look that he had never seen.

He was so shocked that he froze and gasped. She had never called him by his name before.

“What?!?!”

“ I'm not your wife and I am perfect fine thank you. This thing we have going , it won't last ,we both know that. This is something that was arranged and I was never , will never be support of all this . So for your information I just need a period of time and then I'm leaving you ” She said as she stared at him as his purple eyes widened and took a deeper hue of purple making it look more like blue.

She turned to walk back up stairs when his deep baritone vibrated her bones.

“ You're right, this was arranged . I am a kind of person who had no interest in people who I count as extra load in my life and that includes a wife and kids. If you were not going to end this then I was , but when I look at my parents I find it hard to do such. I do know why I tried hard to soften up .” He said as he stared at her with furrowed eyebrows and eyeballs that said alot more than just anger.

What have I done. She asked herself

“I made breakfast, at least eat it. Consider it my last act of kindness.” He said and marched off to the bedroom, slamming the door behind him.

Great, Alexis you have just made another enemy.

She walked slowly over to the island as gasp as she stared at the meal he had prepared for her.

Grilled steak and wine for f*****g breakfast, what is this,a dream come true.

After the quick breakfast and a nap, she laid down on the couch and began to think to herself.

I really don't need to be on his good side through out all this , I mean if we get so close and touchy it could risk me getting caught and the whole plan going to waste.

No it's best we stay mad at each other, it's better that way.

Ryder was quite shocked at her words that he didn't know when he had said all those stuffs.

Ahhh.. what is wrong with me. I shouldn't have said all those things.

It hurt him to remember that all this was quite fake and just aimed to please their parents and Kingdom.

She was going to leave him after a period of time , and it hurt him even more. He couldn't figure out why but he wasn't quite happy at that's news.

I mean I suppose to be happy why do I feel down.

A soft knock interrupted his thoughts and he rushed to open the door.

Get it together man,you are not in good terms at this moment, rushing for the door is just going to be a sign of weakness and vulnerability.

With majestic grace he took his time strolling to open the door .

“What is it” he said in a chilly voice that sent a shiver to his own spine.

She paused for a moment staring at him and shivered a little at his eyes and voice .

“I need to go grocery shopping” she whispered.

“There is just enough food in the house for both of us” He said in same voice as he stared deeply at her.

What the f**k is he trying to do. She thought as she stared back at him.

Is he trying to intimidate me, hohoho you got another thing coming, dickhead.

“Hey jerk, there is just enough food for you alone, I don't know about you but I don't plan on eating meat all my life. Now if you don't mind I need to borrow you car to go to the grocery shop.” She said as she stared at him even as she strained her neck to stare at his 6fts frame.

He was taken aback at her courage and lack of fear for his intimidate looks and attitude.

What is happening to me??

Back in the kingdom I would have any one spar with me as a punishment for even staring too long at me but here I am thinking she is cute.

“Hey knucklehead, keys to the Humvee” she said as she brought forth her palm.

He bent and stared at the cracked palms which had a few scars on it and broken nails which looked recently manicured.

That's weird. From what I heard the Duncans take care of their daughter like she was the most prize possession they have. She was never allowed any labour of any sort.

“Hey do I look invisible to you??” Alexis said as she nudge him.

“I am coming with you” He said in a chill voice.

“Thanks but I didn't ask for your care and thoughts” She scoffed

“And I'm not offering it , I care about my car. From the information I have gather, you never last driving a car, infact your father had to hire a chauffer for you becu you crashed every single cars you owned. Am I right Veronica” he snarled as he walked pass her .

Fuck Veronica, are you that clumsy in driving.

“Its not my fault that they don't make strong cars these days” She said with hands on her hips.

“Yeah right , I will be right back.” he said and shut the door on her face.

Arghhhh that motherfucking jerk. She screamed on the inside.

She waited for a few minutes and she spent the time admiring the nice black Humvee which she was suppose to be driving had it not been for her look alike reputation with cars.

“She is a beauty right?” A deep voice shivered down her spine.

With her head hing up and a scrowl on her face ,she turned to taunt him about his waste of time but her face quickly melted as she saw him.

He was dressed in blue jeans , same black boots and wore a light blue shirt with a black bomber jacket and topped it up with a nice blue NBA baseball hat.

Oh f**k me, he might be a pervert but this guy has some dressing skills and God is he handsome??

“Are we going or are you just going to stand and keep staring” He said as he walked closer.

As he walked pass her and into the car, she could smell his cologne and it was driving her senses haywire.

God please help me.

In the car , the thick usual blanket of silence hung over them as they drove into town. Inside her , Alexis was fight a battle with her senses as she tired to control her self with the scent of a very hot man driving and sitted next to her. She tried to avoid turning and sneaking a peek at him while he drive, but her senses were already weaken and she couldn't hold her self. She turned and stared at his as he drove.

Jeez would you look at those long fingers and the awesome profile.

Ryder felt her eyes all over him and wondered what was wrong

I mean this was the same woman who was acting all tough and strong back in the house.

When they arrived the grocery store, none of them moved a muscle as they waited for each other to take the first move.

“You can wait in the car , I will do the shopping myself.” Alexis said as she opened the door.

“Wait..”Ryder said

“Now what ?” she growled at him as she was unable to hold her self much long.

“ I'm coming with you” he said as he took of the seat belt and stepped out

“No I don't need you" She protested as she could afford to be close to him anymore without trusting her self to remain calm.

“I also need to do a bit of shopping ” Ryder lied knowing that he had never shopped for anything in his life.

“Oh really??” she said with a smirk as she could see through his lie.

“Yeah..” he said keeping a straight face.

“Things like what now ” she taunted.

“None of your business woman, Now if you don't mind I have a bit of shopping to do” he said as he walked away.

“Hey douchebag” she called out

“What?!?!” Ryder roared attracting the looks of passerbys

“The grocery store is this way ” She smirk as she pointed opposite the direction he was heading
