Chapter 4

Sectionals

This sectionals will be held in William McKinley High's auditorium. This is my first show choir competition and I'm afraid that I cant do that.

We will perform our Michael Jackson's setlist. I will face The Warblers. I will face Sebastian Smythe, my boyfriend.

"Stop looking at yourself on the mirror." Sebastian smirked at me through the mirror.

"I just wanna fix my hair." I smiled at him.

"You already beautiful, baby." Sebastian said.

"Only you and my parents who said that." I chuckled.

"Seriously, you are." Sebastian put a hairclip on my hair.

"Good luck, this is your first show choir campionship and I hope you will make it." Sebastian hugged me from behind and kissed my cheek.

"You too, prince charming." I smiled at him.

"The Warblers get ready!"

Sebastian left my hand and smiled at me. He left me a quick kissed then walked off to the stage.

I walked out from the backstage to get to the audience seat to see Sebastian and their Warblers performing. I took a seat next to Sam because I cant find where the hell Blaine is.

The Warblers sings Silly Love Song. I can see that Sebastian cant stop smiling at me and I gave him a smile back.

"He doesnt smile at you." Sam suddenly said.

"Shut up, Evans." I rolled my eyes.

"If you break up with that guy please tell me." Another voice from my left side.

I turned my face and Puck smirked at me. I frowned at him and rolled my eyes. A jerk one.

"Sam, you said that you're Blaine's bestfriend right?" I asked Sam.

"Yes, why?" Sam asked back.

"Do you know what the things he likes the most except bowtie? because next week it's actually our birthday but I dont know what should I give for his present." I said to Sam.

"Many things." Sam simply said.

"Would you accompany me to find a birthday present for him tomorrow?" I asked.

"Sure." Sam nodded.

"Alright, I know I'm such a bad sister. I dont even know the things he likes. I asked Cooper but he gave me no answer." I rolled my eyes.

"Yes you are." Sam said without looking at me.

"Uh you sucks." I rolled my eyes.

"Your boyfriend cant stop give me a death stare." Sam simply said.

I looked at the stage and yes Sam is right. Sebastian is looking at me and Sam that we were talking and he cant stop give Sam a death look. Damn.

The Warblers finish their performance. I'm standing from my seat and give them a standing applause.

"Come on it's our turn." The others standing from their seats and walked out from the audience seats.

We then walked to the backstage to get ready. My first show choir competition.

We ended up our song with full of claps and cheering. I made my first show choir championship and there will be another show choir championship.

The curtains lift down and we walked to the backstage. I could feel my cold hand right now and my nervous is finally gone. But the worst thing is the winner announcement after this.

* 15 minutes later *

"Guys, the winner announcement!" Mercedes said to us.

We walked to the stage and holding hands each other. I take a look at Sebastian and he halfsmiled at me.

"On the third place goes to The Unitards." One of the judges said.

I looked at the others and they are smiling happily and clapping for The Unitards as the judges give them their trophy.

"Now on the second place goes to Dalton Academy Warblers which mean that on the first place goes to New Directions!!!!"

We are clapping and cheering together. We got the biggest trophy and which means that we will join the regionals. I really cant wait for that.

We then walked to the backstage to celebrate our winning. But suddenly someone catched my hand.

"Congratulations for the winning." Sebastian smiled at me.

"Bas! Thank you so much. You too!" I hugged him.

"Whoaa haha see you on regionals then." Sebastian rubbed my hair.

"We are not rivals." I chuckled.

"Yeah that's awkward when a warbler dates a girl from New Directions but hey who f*****g care with that?" Sebastian smirked at me.

"Yes, you're right. Love is a love." I chuckled.

"Wanna go home with me?" Sebastian asked.

I shake my head slowly. "Will celebrate this winning with the others in our choir room. Sorry."

"It's okay. I'll call you tonight. See you, babe." Sebastian kissed me and walked off.

I wave him a goodbye and run to the choir room to celebrate this winning with the others. My first show choir competition went good.

"No, Blaine doesnt like to wear a hat." Sam shake his head.

"What about this long sleeve shirt?" I asked again.

"If you want to buy that one for me, I'd love to. But for Blaine? No." Sam shake his head again.

"This one!" Sam showed me a brown cardigan.

"You think that Blaine will like it?" I asked.

"You dont believe me?" Sam raised his eyebrows.

"A bit." I giggled.

"You really waste my time." Sam simply said and about to walk off.

I rolled my eyes and take his hand. "I trust you. Okay help me. I will buy you an ice cream after this." I sighed.

"You dont need to. I feel free to help you." Sam said to me.

"Okay, I will take this cardigan but we need one more things." I said to Sam.

"Yes, Blaine's annoying sister." Sam rolled his eyes.

I walked to the cashier and pay for the cardigan. I looked around and Sam is waiting on the outside of the store. I remember the long sleeve shirt he likes so I decided to buy it for him too.

"25 dollars." The cashier said.

I take my credit card from my wallet and give it to her. She give my credit card back and a paperbag with the cardigan and tshirt on it.

"Thank you." I smiled at her and walked off.

"What the things you need to buy anymore?" Sam asked.

"A shoes? Or a shawl? Or bag? Or do you have any idea?" I asked him.

"You're such a bad sister. What you gave for Blaine last year?" Sam asked back.

"Last year? Nothing. But we had holiday vacation in Rome and celebrated Christmas there."

"Rome? France?" Sam frowned.

"It's Italy, Sam." I rolled my eyes.

"How lucky you come from a rich family." Sam simply said.

"Sam, money isnt everything for me. Sometimes, I want a cute family where you can have dinner together every night. Not money. I can buy anything I want with all my money I have but my happiness and love? I cant buy that. If I can, I wouldnt be lonely." I said without looking at him.

"Sometimes, we just need to appreciate what we have." Sam said.

"Yeah." I half smiled.

"Oh come on, annoying girl. What you want to buy next?" Sam strokes my hair.

"I'm not annoying!" I pouted.

"You are. A bit." Sam said innocently.

"Ugh fine! You're not. Okay what about buy him shoes or books?"

"Books is better one." I said to him.

"Alright lets find some comic books!" Sam yelled and walked lead me.

I keep walking and following him to the book store until he got many comic books.

"That much?" I frowned.

"Yeah you can buy it for Blaine so I can borrow it from him." Sam smirked at me.

"Sam, I can buy it for you too as your christmas present." I rolled my eyes.

"No, I cant give you expensive gift. Just buy it for Blaine and I will borrow this from him." Sam shake his head.

"Okay if that's what you want." I take those comic books and pay it in the cashier.

I looked at Sam and he is reading some comic books. He is cute and wise one. He really taught me that happiness is came from the heart not money. Such an amazing guy.

"Anything else, miss?" The cashier asked.

"Can I get same comic books like this one for each series?" I asked.

"Sure." She smiled at me and walked off from the cashier.

I'm sorry, Sam but I just want to make you happy because you're Blaine's bestfriend and the one who want to listen to me.

The cashier back to the counter and bring all of these comics. I will give him as his christmas present.

"Fifty dollars." The cashier said to me.

I give her my credit card to pay. She give my credit card back and two paperbag of books.

"Done?" Sam come over to me.

"Yes. I think this is enough." I said to Sam.

Sam takes my paperbag from my hand and hold it. Such a gentleman one. Sebastian never do that to me. Wait, what am I thinking about?

We still walking and being quiet while we are walking together with him holding my paperbags. I dont have any topic to talk to him.

"Hey." We suddenly said together.

"You first." I said to him.

"No, ladies first." Sam shake his head.

"Well, you want to have dinner before we go home?" I asked.

"That was the thing I was about to ask actually." Sam said.

"So?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Yes but I'll pay. Dont worry. I got a part time job until this New Year and I got my first salary yesterday." Sam said to me.

"You really work hard, Sam." I smiled at him.

"Yes, because I lived alone and far from my parents. They're in Kentucky and I'm here in Lima." Sam chuckled.

"I can use your house to hide from Cooper when he back home." I laughed.

"Sure if you want a something dirty happen after that." Sam grinned at me.

"Ewww you're pervert." I laughed.

"Haha come on, I'm so hungry because you took me for shopping." Sam takes my hand.

I just chuckled until I realized that he hold my hand while we walked together. I turned my face at him and he pulled his hand slowly.

"S-Sorry." Sam halfsmiled at me.

"It's okay." I halfsmiled back at him.

We keep walking and kind of awkward at each other. Ugh damn! What's wrong with me right now?
