FLASHBACK

Perce POV.

Flashback started the moment I slept.

I was walking on the beach after meeting my mom and step dad.

I was happy that finally I got one sister and my mom got one normal kid to handle.

I went to meet them but what happened after that was my worst nightmare.

They didn't let me touch her or talk to her or even worse see her.

They said that they didn't want to put their daughter in danger and want to keep her away from my world and me.

Last blow was when my mom said that it would be better if I don't come ever again else it can attract monsters.

I was thinking about it and playing with the sand.

Suddenly someone came from behind .

" Do you want a duel Perce. If you won you will be the leader of the camp as you are but if I won then I will be" the voice said.

I turned to see Jack , son of Ares.

This was the same guy whom I hit with my sword in my first capture the flag game.

I knew I was not in a mood to fight but even if I loose there is no problem. I wanted a break from all this lease role.

I nodded and said " After thirty minutes in arena. "

I was weak from inside as well as outside. But I wanted to loose the duel so that I can have a break.

When I reached the arena I saw everyone sitting there.

Seriously this guy was so confident of winning the duel.

I reached the seven and expected them to say something like all the best but they just said. " better don't loose"

I thought that was a sarcasm and walked up to Anabeth.

" He is really a good warrior Perce and be careful " She said with a glint of happiness in her eyes. I narrowed my eyes but then I thought no she won't cheat on me after all we came through the hell together and walked up to fight the duel
