My heart flutters in my chest as I read the text message. I met James a couple weeks after quiting the club, at a local coffee shop. It was such a cliche, he was back in town after some time away at college and law school, and he came to help out with some family matters and open a firm of his own.
When he asked for my number, I was completely shocked. Even more so by my own actions, when I gave it to him..
